I think I will wait to the reboot to watch this series.

As a kid I always wanted to try this series but I was too afraid to get caught watching it to give it a chance (you know typical kid stuff lol)

I want to give it a chance now that I am more mature :p

But wow that intro song is very very mysterious and cool looking, i feel like it's hypnotizing me to watch it.

Yeah, there's one h-doujinshi that makes the pun in its title, and another that uses the punny name for an enemy who otherwise has no relation to Sailor Uranus herself. The last one is even funnier, because it's part of a doujinshi series where Haruka/Uranus does not even show up in except briefly in one post-story comedic omake.

Sailor Uranus' name is one of the things I always thought would be funny to see in a U.S. dub if they bring the 2013 series. Come on, there has to be some sort of Lampshade Hanging.

Is there any big Anime con in Japan before spring? I imagine they might unveil something there before the show drops.

Though if they are still aiming for Spring it is a little odd that there hasn't been much released by now.

One Strip! One Strip!

The closest fanfic I can think of is one written by Angel Raye, who has a series about the daughters of the Senshi in general (the Chibi Senshi). One of her stories is Chibi-Usa's version of It's a Wonderful Plot and because she doesn't exist in that story, she doesn't go back in time. That story paints a bleak alternate timeline in which it's much harder to fight the Doom Phantom (because Chibi-Usa wasn't there to bring the second Silver Crystal), Hotaru dies in S, and the Chibi Senshi team breaks apart without Chibi-Usa's leadership.

I suppose the question is, does Chibi-Usa exist in this alternate timeline or not? That could bring about different things. Would someone else befriend Hotaru or would she die like in Angel Raye's story? And of course there is the question of plot points concerning Chibi-Usa such as the whole thing where she absorbed the Silver Crystal into herself and the issue of who is Pegasus's host (I think Angel Raye's story had it be Usagi instead). Also, if she still exists, there could also be the idea of her absorbing the Silver Crystal into herself, but in this timeline, she doesn't time travel for whatever reason.

Because the honorifics were beautiful and I loved how Rei Hino cutely refers to herself as "Rei-chan" before going off to fight the last of the DD girls in the Dark Kingdom finale. IT feels like major bowdlerization how lots of japanese content was washed away. Looking back at the dub it's just so gawdy. Shit all of it was. The Raye in the dub destroys so much of the beautiful bond between Usagi and Rei in the original.

If you do not see how beautiful the moment between Rei and Usagi is when they speak to each other you have no idea how terrible a person I think you are! >.<

Use the original names too. That way we have the nicknames for Sailor Jupiter Mako-Chan and Mamoru's nickname for Usagi-Usako (which means little bunny)

On another note: don't just change Mercury's voice, change all of them. The shit is too childish.

But those aren't details everyone is going to appreciate. Consider the audience they were aiming at.

The mere addition of honorifics isn't going to get me to watch the original audio.

However the dub has more serious issues like chopping up scenes, removing episodes and some positively horrible dialogue that actually obscures what is actually going on in the scenes.

They also made Luna an annoying british nanny in the old english dub. That and destroyed the dialogue in the final battle with Queen Beryl

I'm more pumped by the japanese version than I am the english version.
