VF inspired DOA so to me it's a great inclusion. And Pai was on the initial list where mila and rig were first mentioned, plus she's listed in some of the copyright stuff.
The way things are going (assuming this doesn't somehow culminate in Virtua Fighter: Dead or Alive), we might just see Jann Lee vs. Jacky in DOA6.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadAchievement list leaked!
VF guys have to be unlocked, Alpha unlockable as well. I hope she's not the final boss...definitely possible.

Can you imagine everyone playing as her online? She'd better be severely nerfed, otherwise it'll be like how damn near everyone uses Sentinel/Magneto/Cable online in Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Dev Diaries, episode 2!
… I didn't even know there was an episode 1.

Apologies in advance for the blatant double-post, but episode 3 of the Fighter Chronicles is out. Interesting stuff, especially how they had to completely rework Scramble because there was so much going on that it was hard to concentrate on the characters.
No matter what anyone says, Aerosmith and Armageddon were the ones who saved my life, my company, my friends and my family

... Is it me, or is Itagaki just getting weirder and weirder since he was divorced from his franchises?
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Itagaki's amazing.
It's probably that whole "Hey! Guys! Remember me?! I'm still relevant!" thing. Has his new studio even produced a single game yet?
Lol at Team Ninja with their Blatant Lies. What part of that is toned down Fanservice ? The only changes in DOA 5 artstyle wise is that the eyes are less Animesque.
Not that I have problem with it, but I think with their iconic characters DOA has the potential to be one of the very few fighting game with a coherent story (Team Kasumi vs. Team Ayane anyone?). I really enjoyed Dimensions and I hope they continue down that path in DOA 5.
Well, the body proportions and movements are a tad bit more realistic too. But there is a bit of an Uncanny Valley effect since the characters have exactly one facial expression. Two at the most. And ironically, I find the male characters' designs more refined that the female ones'…
Helena has never looked better. Tina looks great too, and Kokoro is a big improvement. In fact, all the women look loads better. Only thing I don't like is Sarah's face face looks more Asian-ish than it should and a bit of muscle definition on Tina/Lisa would've been nice, I mean they are wrestlers after all.
Actually Tina had slightly more defined abs in DOA3◊ but supposedly people complained(who exactly?) and they removed them afterwards. Thing I remember most about DOA 3 tina was the peak of underboob.
God I spent 30 minutes trying to beat alpha in DOA with Jahn Lee last night. Then with brad Wong I beat her on the first try :/
She has got to be one of the most frustrating bosses I know.
Heh,from the DOA wiki: In Dead or Alive 4, Leon often chides young competitors - such as Ayane, Eliot and Kokoro - with the remark "Come back once you've learned to wipe your ass," meaning that they are too young and childlike to seriously challenge him. This was mistranslated in the English version as "Come back once you've wiped your ass," wrongly implying that Leon's attacks were so devastating, his opponent had a bowel movement.
Lol the latter actually sounds a bit better. A case of bad translation actually being good.

The only thing I remember about Tina (aside from wanting to change her career roughly every 12 minutes) is that she seems to be having a competition with Hitomi and Jann Lee over who can have the worst costumes.

Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.Well, Tina's a pro-wresler, and Jann Lee's a Bruce Lee fanboy, so there's that. Hitomi, on the other hand, I can't really explain. A clown costume? Really?
Yeah the clown costume just sucks. I don't think Jahn Lee's costumes are bad though, most of them I like. Tina usually has some variety(DOA 4 not so much) and the American-cape in DOA Ultimate was great. I'm hoping we'll have a lot of costumes like in DOA 2 ultimate but I sort of doubt it, unfortunately.
Elliot had the worst costumes. I don't like Bass' either.

But let's be real here: no one cares about Elliot.
And I rather like his Final Fantasy-esque bishie costume. It's so out of place with the others that it's funny.
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.I kinda like Hitomi's clown costume actually… I find it… cute? I don't know if it's the right word but I like it anyway.
Well...at least Elliot had one of the best DOA4 endings whereas the standard was stuff like this. He's sort of boring character-wise but I sort of like him in a way, like if he were fleshed out better he'd be okay. Gen fu needed a replacement IMO, he doesn't mesh well with the rest of the cast.
lol @ one of the comments:
me nd my family call him Lil Lion cus he looks like Lion off the game Street Fighter.!
edited 10th Sep '12 7:47:01 AM by Vertigo_High
How does Gen-Fu not fit in? Every fighting game I can think of had the old master character at one point or another.
On a side note: why hasn't anyone pitched at Team Ninja about making an animated movie? Each new game adds more cutscenes and QTE's, not to mention that spectating one of their games is more akin to watching a movie with a HUD plastered on it.
I'd.... actually want to see Elliot fight Lion. If only to prove who's the more annoying, blonde, retard kungfu kid that nobody likes.

Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either. He doesn't fit into DOA specifically, not anymore. His personality doesn't mesh much with any of the other cast, his oldness is his only noteworthy gimmick, overall he's just too bland. Raidou is old too but that guy was evil as hell and a ninja so he worked well enough for the series. Him passing the torch off to an apprentice was for the best, they just needed to do a better job of it since Eliot falls victim to the same thing that made Gen-fu so meh in the first place, partly why he's so unliked.
Eh, as long as they aren't horribly broken, I don't mind. Besides, they seem to mesh better with the DOA-verse than, say, Spartan 458 did in DOA4.
@Mila: An "ordinary" girl? In my DOA?
