It looks more like a Restraining Bolt, than actual power down. I'm inclined to leave it there, but I would be happy to see some options.
Also, welcome to Image Pickin'.
Fight smart, not fair. Here are a few Dhalsim pics.
Skyscraper◊, sunny, inky.◊
The first two dont say "Powerup" the last one is way too abstract.
Also shouldnt this be in image picking?

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Motion to pull
Pic doesn't demonstrate the trope, and the caption really doesn't help.
Seconding.
I think the Chunky Updraft gives a feeling of powering up.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanHmm. How about this picĀ of a meditating Jedi◊?
What's he powering up to do, though? That's what's missing in the current pic, too.
So there needs to be a purpose? That would require double image. As far as can I tell, what this power up is for isn't stricly neccessary. It could be for fighting or building or a competition etc. The essential thing is that meditating powers them up
I like the current one. Power Glows and all. Also I like the Jedi one. The floating stuff shows the gathering power.
I feel like this trope demands a two-panel image. One of the powerup and another of the ensuing asskicking.
Exactly.
Clock is set. Anyone else for/against the pull motion?
I'm against a pull, on grounds of Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
I do think the third Dhalsim picture is better though, and have no objection to adding a second picture that shows asskicking.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Dunno, current seems pretty good. He is meditating and glowing. "Powerup" doesn't mean "power attack".
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
I'm not familiar with Saint Seiya, but the image caption implies that the image actually isn't this trope. I would say the trope could be summarized as "the hero meditates in order to power up," but the image caption says that the character in the image is meditating to limit his powers, i.e. power down. But doesn't this mean we probably shouldn't be using this as the page image? It's not a meditation powerup, even though it looks like it is.
