I've never seen the Kinsey film. Should I bother?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117if i recall correctly, the kinsey scale was previously mentioned in shortpacked regarding amber posing as a lesbian to avoid being intimate with faz and then faz quickly pointed out that based on the kinsey scale kissing one girl doesnt make you a lesbian or something
I feel like there's some sort of Lake Woebegone Effect with the Kinsey Scale. We all know that the very nature of the curve is such that very few people are at either extreme, but 90% of us would probably argue for being at that extreme...
I'm not even on the dang thing.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. The Kinsey Scale has been mentioned to my knowledge in Skin Horse, where Gerda claimed to be a Kinsey Seven (BUT)..., and in Ménage à 3, where Peggy carefully explained her one/two rating and then noted that DiDi could make any woman into a three — but she explained all this to a drunk DiDi, so she could have saved her breath.note
I'm not sure if the Kinsey movie actually mentions the scale as such. I remember it as a decent bit of social-historical drama.
= Spindriver =I'm X on the Kinsey scale.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.WOOT! ACE BUDDIES!

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Yay, fellow ace (and Ms. Marvel fan)! *high-fives*
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself......Joyce doesn't know Danny? That don't sound right.
And can you have a bitter rivalry if there isn't some actual mutual hate?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Here's every comic with both Joyce and Danny in it.
That third one from the top is literally the only time they have ever spoken to each other. And that was, OOU, almost a year ago.
EDIT: Wait, no, forgot about this. Okay. So, twice. In the entire comic.
Joyce might recognize Danny if she saw him again, and vice versa, but thus far they've literally only interacted once.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I'd place myself as, like, a 1.5.
No, wait, I'm gonna go with a π/2 on the Kinsey scale. Yes.
Yes, but I like my way better.
And then Danny was a lot of the comments section
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Stealing a question from the comments:
If a character with a large hatedom criticizes another character with a large hatedom, which one ends up facing more hatred from the reader?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Depends on who the reader hates more.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Danny has a notable hatedom? How'd he manage to earn it?
LONG story.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Wow, were his pornographiques that bad?
its died down recently as far as i know but danny's attitude towards amber, his obliviousness to the completely transparent disguise, his frequent taking of the moral high road (when it would arguably have been just smarter and better to take the low road) occasionally causing friction with more beloved characters tended to earn him the commentators ire.
as for me, my dislike of him peaked at around the point where he was talking to ambers dad and, the things he said crossed a line for me, though not so much for everyone else as far as i can tell (they were too focused on him being freindly with an obvious douchebag) but after that he's since become...not particularly hateable?
mind you, a lot of the criticism he gets may not be fair. he got a lot of flak for not sleeping with billie; both joe and the commentators shamed him for it, seemingly thinking that his feelings were irrelevent next to billie's (who iirc doesnt really mind and agrees with him later on?) as if consent only matters from the female side.
Its become a meme at this point. "God Dan it." And "Dannying up again" are super common.
A lot of it is baggage from the Walkyverse. Which comes from how he was the central character from Roomies, which Willis seems to consider an Old Shame.

I think this is the first time I've heard the Kinsey scale mentioned in any media I've consumed before
