Presumably, they mean that Guts is the character best suited to your style of writing from what they have seen.
You do tend to write hot-blooded characters best. And while neither Guts nor Griffith are actually hot-blooded, Guts is much closer than Griffith.

Irony: While I certainly am more aligned to cheesily-hotblooded characters * normally, as I watch the Berserk anime, I find it easier to get into Griffith's head than into Guts'. That said, as I finish the closing episodes later tonight, I shall determine the path the fic shall take.

Griffith had a line that struck me as, quite frankly, amazing. It went something along the lines of "I don't regret, and I don't feel guilt. But I'd rather sacrifice myself than watch another child be crushed by my dream."
To me, that line is pretty much the distilled essence of a Sociopathic Hero.
And, come to think of it, it seems to me kind of redundant if Guts or Griffith were summoned as Gundalfr. I mean, each is already a top-tier Master Swordsman.
... Wait, yeah, I should probably keep 'em as Gundalfr. Getting a powerup that does nothing just makes it slightly less unfair for the other guys.

Sometimes I wonder if people want Louise to summon someone who isn't horribly overpowered. Or doesn't somehow for some strange reason anticipate all plot twists before they happen.
