Found one to read while I was looking for something else entirely. It's no Unfamiliar, but I think it's still good enough to warrant a recommendation.

Prince of Braves, Zero's Familiar. A word of warning, though, you can't take it seriously.

Sometimes I'd like to write a snippet where Louise summons Davesprite, but I'm not good enough at English, or at wordplay, to write him.

I've only ever seen a lame oneshot where she summons Dave, but I really wanna see what John and his thoroughly fucked-up brand of charisma would do to Halk.

Had an idea where Louise summons Jecht. Who, according to the Trope Pantheons, is the Memetic Sex God. Hilarity Ensues. Or at least it attempts to ensue.

If anyone is interested, I've started troping Surrogate of Zero. Wiki Magic is still needed.

Are there any stories where Saito is a Badass Normal, wizard, werewolf, or otherwise extranormal?

Most stories that want to go in that general direction do so by simply replacing Saito with another character. (Seriously, I've read, like, one ZnT fic total that preserves Saito as the summon, and I do somewhat follow the fandom.)

I remember there's one that keeps him himself... except he's from an Earth with mecha and futuristic tech, who luckily enough happens to arrive like a day before a United Nations colonization team stumbles across the planet Halkeginia is on. Cue running out onto the lawn in a panic, waving frantically at every cam-bot he can see. Kid ends up the official translator, what with the silence-spell-gone-awry allowing him to understand both sides of the conversation.

I saw one where he was raised to be an Assassin but I didn't read too much of it because it didn't seem too serious and it was a dead fic. Here it is if you want to look at it.

I've hit a dead wall here in my fic (linky in my signature). My Saito is a Spartan 3 from the Halo franchise (quite frankly sounds ALOT like the protagonist from FMP) and I'm up to the post-Guiche duel part. I'm really thinking of introducing the make-up of Tristain's nobility and the country's political system with the royalty as being a centralised state as opposed to a feudal system. I'm writing when Siesta is being sold to Mott but the problem is how to make my character actually relate to Siesta and actually motivated in undergoing a rescue mission to help her. This has been wracking my brain as I already planned that Saito to go on a mission special warfare style with a body count. I'm setting this up for a {{What the Hell, Hero?}} moment that affects future events.

So...help please?

No idea. I'm trying to write it serious with *some* humour here and there. to be honest, I have SOME vague idea of where my story is heading. But its too disorganised. I really should've planned this further.

Metal Gear characters!

Specifically, the ones in Metal Gear Rising. Imagine either "Jetstream" Samuel "Minuano" Rodrigues (either after or before Armstrong cut his arm off) or Raiden (with the infinite energy wig) being summoned to Halkegenia.

I can imagine Sam enjoying himself there, and Raiden being quite cranky.

I can't imagine Jetstream Sam's storyline playing out much differently from Ezio Auditore's, and we've already got the perfectly serviceable On The Wings Of An Eagle.

True, and it would be difficult to top the ones starring Emiya Shirou, Alex Mercer, Jack from Bioshock and Ezio.

Then again, aren't all those basically follow the same storyline from the manganime, with changes to some parts? It's not like it's wrong to Follow the Leader, if the leader is a damn good one.

If Pre-Armstrong!Sam was summoned, he would definitely do something. But if Desperado!Sam (the one with the cyber arm) was summoned, he just wouldn't give a shit about it all.

I read on FF about where Blade Wolf was the one summoned. However, the author changed a lot of things about him. Physically, I mean. With making him able to assume human form and all that jazz... It ruins Wolf's uniqueness imo.

And Unfamiliar is more or less officially dead. ;_;
