Two new developer blog posts: Character Design: Bayonetta and Jeanne.
Umbran Climax◊The attacks do feel like they… hit harder in the second video. It's more thanks to the sound effect though.
I'll never get used to Jeanne with long hair…

so,the dub cast of that movie was announced. They kept everyone from the game except Enzo, who was voiced by Chick Vennera(Pesto from Animaniacs and Ferret from Static Shock)and is now voiced by John Kassir(That's right, the Crypt Keeper, the second Buster Bunny and the first Deadpool.)

And more relevant to Platinum, Monsoon. WELCOME TO MY UTOPIA OF DEATH
...Jeanne looks terrible with long hair. She looks like a tim burtonized fem-Inuyasha.
I don't mind it. Probably because it amuses me that Jeanne and Bayonetta became close enough that they're trying out each other's old hairstyles.note
Plus, when you Consider how Devil may Cry has Dante and Vergil basically being Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru, well....
Watch SymphogearDon't let the fanboys hear you say that
I... what?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Think about it.
They are both half demon descendants of a Full blooded Demon who was considered a powerful warrior in the demon world, and fell in love with a human female (Though sessh is a full demon with a full demon mother, but it's still relevant). One of them feels that love and believing in humanity is the better path, with the other thinking that Power. Is. Everything.
Plus they each have the same attitude (Dante to Inuyasha, Vergil to Sesshoumaru).
Pretty self explanatory. Most japanese developers tend to add in anime-ish references (Most martial arts moves could be taken straight out of an anime or manga) So it doesn't surprise me.
Jeanne, being a white haired lady in red, It wouldn't surprise me that Kamiya probably though of making her in long Hair look a bit like Inuyasha...

Watch SymphogearKamiya had no input on Dante and Vergil's relationship in DMC 3.
So any perceived connections between that game and Inuyasha don't really have much of anything to do with Bayonetta.
Umbran Climax◊Yeah, that.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Regardless, It's still obviously there, even the first game, that Dante is still rather like Inuyasha on his own (Including temporarily becoming a full demon in Spoarda form).
Watch SymphogearEven without playing the old game, i had assumed that they were juxtaposing Bayonetta and Jeanne's hairstyles deliberately, for the lulz or for some more significant purpose.
Most likely.
I can't decide if I should sell my 360 copy of Bayonetta. I'd hate to own two copies if I don't need to, but after Ni GHTS: Journey into Dreams I don't trust sequels that are moved to Nintendo.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. It's supposed to be locked at 60 FPS so if that's true I can't see it being worst than the 360 version.
Considering it comes packaged with 2 anyway you can probably just wait until you get it and test it out.

I never played the 60 FPS version, so pre-ordering 2 to get the original (With added bonuses) is fine with me.
I'd like more then just new costumnes though.
Like with the PC version of Devil May Cry 4, how about add a new difficulty setting or two.
Like a Heaven or Hell mode in which all the enemies have a gaze of despair infused Angel. trigger mode, without even using the gaze of despair (Using it would just make them even more resilient then normal), Triple the health and defense that they have in Nonstop Climax mode (Ergo, all the bosses have the same amount of health as Jubileus or Rodin, with new boss attacks) and Bayonetta is a one hit wonder.
Or like the PC version of Devil May Cry 4, how about a mode where angels flood the screen everywhere and it become Bayonetta Meets Dynasty Warriors?

Ah, the art.
All looks good.
Looks like the two player mode is shown off in a few screens on the second scan, with the second player playing as Jeanne (or Bayo in some screens). Also, in one box showing Bayo from the first game, I see the words "Bayonetta Bloody Fate". Is that what they're calling the Embedded Precursor of the first game, or was that the name of the anime? Because it'd be neat if they also included the animation too...
That was the anime's name. I think the first game was simply called Bayonetta, even in Japan.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Yeah, I knew what the first game was called, I just thought they may or may not have called the version included with 2 something different for whatever. I don't know much about the anime, so I didn't know its name (I had thought it was just called Bayonetta like the first game was).
Either way, it sounds like Bloody Fate will be included with the original game as part of 2, so that's good. Hopefully it'll also be in the localized version of 2 as well.
Kilgore is a reference to Apocalypse Now
