Zaregoto (which really needs it's own page) and the Boogiepop series are both great, though the latter will most likely never see the rest of it be released in the US, and at this point it would seem ditto for the former.
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!Just putting it out there. Bungaku Shoujo is a great series. And one of the best cases of There Are No Therapists ever.
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.I really liked Utsuru No Hako. Bungaku Shoujo was also pretty good, but for some reason I just ended up getting bored of it.
Seconding Zaregoto.
Tumblr here.Okay, so, I heard that there was a Light Novel or something called Counter Strike: White Memories.
Confirm/Deny?
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelFull Metal Panic, if you want to be spoiled, ended last year, but the author apparently just released a spinoff last month.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.I'm not sure if anyone else on this site is a fan of Ojamajo Doremi, but this made me shit bricks.
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.Huh, that was a light novel? Did not know that.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.A sequel huh? That's nice.
@OP: The LN is good, but I never liked Hidan No Aria's anime adaptation.
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuI mean, I understand LNs closeness to Anime and Manga, but shouldn't this thread just be in Literature?
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation project… Probably, but I’m more curious as to how you found this 12 year old dead thread in the first place. >.>
I just kinda searched "Light Novel" forum and this is the only thing that popped up.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectHuh, so the search function can actually find things. But yeah, it would make more sense for the LN thread to be in literature.
I hollered the thread to request a move.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectLight Novels are related to anime and manga (A lot of anime are light novel adaptations after all.). I think it's fine to keep the theead here.
Not all LNs get a manga/anime adaptation, so I don't see why this thread should be here.

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectGuess this just stays here for now I guess, it still feels weird though.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectNot Really?
Light Novels are very much within the same industrial and creative spheres as Manga and Anime in Japan, especially ones that are essentially revised web novels as a final draft for print, like Narou ones.
Korean and Chinese novels are similarly adjacent to Manhwa and Manhua, too.
Watch SymphogearI need someone to talk about The Unexplored Summon://Blood-Sign with me. I know the trope page makes it sound like a loredump, but it's not, it's great, and it has probably the most in-depth romance I've seen in a light novel.
Is it out in English? I can't find that information on the page.
Looks like it's fully fan-translated but not officially licensed
Did anybody else read Kagerou Daze?
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.I've read like one and a half volumes but I had to stop because inasmuch as I love Jon's song writing, the actual writing is kind of messy and made some of the characters less likeable.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boys
Anyone know any good ones? Bad ones? Ones that deserve to be burnt at the stake?
(And should this be under Literature instead?)
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.
