Doesn't seem to be very "pure": The Ingenue

It's just a black and white picture of a woman smiling. There's nothing to show that she's particularly pure or anything except her outfit, which doesn't really account for much. I think we can do better.

I'm not exactly sure how we'd go about picturing this in the first place.

A panel where she doesn't get a dirty joke?

And it's not even potholed like the normal entry pimps.

The picture isn't potholled because there still isn't a page for Hangover Square (either the movie or the book), and when I put it up, redlinks on pictures would just cause the picture to look blank.

Also, when I put it up there, I figured she just "looked" like such a character (and is in the movie), which IS an acceptable thing with some of the tropes, like The Lancer.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

I think the image of Mary Pickford that the Wikipedia article uses is pretty good.

And Wikipedia has much lower standards than TV Tropes.

No, if we had a page for the actress, such a picture would be fine.

Didn't you just say that if she looks like such a character, it's acceptable sometimes?

True, but that's showing the actress, not a trope.

Drawing of young lady walking past horrific scenes while looking "out of place" and sweet and innocent?

Actually, I think that it's possible to do Ingenue, but that picture isn't a good example. She doesn't quite exude innocence, youth, and naivete. There's a Renoir painting called The Ingenue that might work [1].

[up][up]That's more of Dissonant Serenity, I think.

The Renoir painting could work, I guess.

At any rate, ingenue is the very last thing I think of when I think of Katherine Hepburn. She was famous for playing strong, independent characters.

That isn't her though. Although in Morning Glory, she did play basically one.

Renoir painting has my support, unless we come up with something better.

I think it's been that way for a while. We might be able to call this later today, and make an image links page.
