[up] I thought the main character was a Non-Action Guy?

That's a little bit up for debate (I've always thought of him as The Ishmael), but she's at least a co-star, and does all the heavy lifting.

[up] Least from what I've seen and read, he seems to serve far more a purpose than simply narrating the plot, so I'm not sure the The Ishmael.

Anyway the trope description says primarily female leads that are gunslingers, so if she's just the co-star with a character that's not another female gunslinger would the work still be in this genre?

I suppose if the character in question is prominent enough to be considered a protagonist, then I suppose Black Lagoon counts.

So other than the Black Lagoon example, is there anything else that needs to be done here? The example can be discussed on the forum page/discussion page for it, so...

Just a protagonist?

Do works with multiple protagonist that aren't all female gunslingers count? because the impression that I'm getting is that works in this genre solely center around female gunslingers

Well, the crowner seems to favour moving individual girls with guns to The Gunslinger. Should we call it?

The only Girls with Guns work I've ever watched is Madlax. I get the impression that Girls with Guns is about the girl or girls using the guns and revolves around why they picked up the guns. Noir seems to have the same idea.

[up] I don't think the genre requires that a reason why why a female character uses a gun (kinda don't need one for modern or future settings).

I do think though that a requirement for the genre is that the leads are exclusively female gunslingers. Which is why I don't think Black Lagoon is in this genre, since only one of the two (or four?) lead characters is a female gunslinger.

Oh, I don't think the leads need to exclusively be female gunslingers; there's usually at least a male Love Interest of some kind.

[up] Yea, but a Love Interest doesn't necessarily mean lead character.
