First! I want to partocipate
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.I'm in. Though, as usual, no idea how the hell I'm supposed to fit the theme. Bah.
I don't have an idea yet, but I'll hopefully have something before the contest ends.
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulHaving a literal fairy counts as a fairy tale?
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Screw it, I'll try. This should help me get warmed up for Na No Wri Mo.
No one believes me when I say angels can turn their panties into guns.I'll try to give it a shot.
Still Sheepin'I'm in.
Actually, good point. While I definitely wouldn't say that having a fairy automatically makes it have a Fairy Tale theme (what if it's just another monster called fairy?), I can't think of any criteria about it.
Any help here, Snowfox?
Ohh, see, now we have themes I can work with! I am totally in...
I am now known as Flyboy.I'm game. What's the prize?
Under World. It rocks! There isn't one. You do get to brag about it to the rest of us, though.
For those of you wondering about fairy tales, Wikipedia is your friend.
Actually, given the nature of fairy tales, depending on what you do with it, you might slip by with less than 2000 words.
Warm hugs and morally questionable advice given here. Prosey BitchfestSo, the fairy tale theme means I have to write a fairy tale.
...why am I surprised?
You don't have to write a fairy tale, just include them in the story in some meaningful way.
Warm hugs and morally questionable advice given here. Prosey BitchfestI'm in like Flynn!
Do we have a go-between yet?
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI might possibly enter this. I love Grimm's fairy tales and have an idea I've been meaning to bounce around.
As aforementioned, I will judge.
I'm up for this. It sounds like fun.
Sign me up. Fairy Tale theme and a short timespan? Yes please!

What qualifies someone to be a judge?
Edit: or what do you look for in a potential judge?

You just have to be willing to read and judge eight entries or so with prejudice. Meaning: Look for the good, but hone onto the bad. If you get a variety of scores, you're good.
I'm considering whatever to enter this time or judge again. Was I a good judge?
