It was Scorpius.

Or if not him then Pollon.

Given the past few episodes, this is a very fitting rebuttal:

While some people may ignore the revelations of Apollo = Pollon and Zen = Apollonius, it WAS planned from the start of the first series, is confirmed by the events of the OVA/movie (which is canonical), and answers a number of questions that have been hanging around since the first series.

On the other hand, Amata and Mikono are the most unlikeable characters in the series, while Kagura and Zessica are the most likeable, but the director treats them the opposite of how the audience wants them to be treated.

I don't actually like Zessica all that much tbh.

I added The Reveal under the Really 700 (24,000+) years old trope on Gen's part of the character page.

Japan also made one that's a bit similar. Though they'll have to remove Otoha from it since Mykage appears to be from just Touma.

I find Donar and Finland being genderbent reincarnations of those two hilarious.

I find a lot of those to be a bit too speculative for my tastes.

And I'm certain Zessica's not connected to Touma. Or at least, she wasn't until recently.

When was it revealed that Sirius = Shrade? That actually fits if Reika = Cayenne and if the person Kagura was referring to when he said that Shrade "smells a little bit like her" was Mikono. It's sad that they never interacted with each other at all during the series. >.>

I've never liked Zessica. Although I am totally in love with Zessikage. Go figure. :/

[up] The speculative ones are based on Reincarnation Romance, in the absence of Word of God.

Ah well. It still fits so I'm hoping it's true. :P

[up] It's unlikely that we'll ever see Word of God regarding the matter, as it's really not important in comparison to the bizarre love/hate pentagon between Touma, Apollonius, Celiane, Scorpius, and Pollon.

Probably the weakest one on there is Kurt+Chloe=Mix. Both because we have no precedent for people being compressed via reincarnation, and because they have nothing in common with Mix beyond complementing Andy/Pierre, and that's also pretty weak.

The only speculative ones I can really buy into are Shrade and Cayenne, to be honest.

[up] Sorry, I didn't fix the image, but it's just meant to be Chloe.

EDIT: Again, it's purely speculative.

EDIT: I just realized that the first OP seems to predict the Fudo = Apollonius revelation, as the line about being in love for billions of years comes up when Zen and Mykage are shown opposing one another.

You know, it would be a lot easier to tolerate this show's writing if they would allow Amata to have legitimate, sustained motivations beyond 'Mikono-san!'

I mean, we finally see SOMETHING that causes him to snap and would take the shown in an interesting direction (I.e, Mad King Amata) and it's immediately invalidated because Kagura needs to look like a good guy so that Mikono can pretend to have some shred of audience sympathy.

On the other hand, him admitting that she had flaws was nice, even if it wasn't on anywhere near the scale necessary to redeem that miserable abortion of a romance.

And back to the bullshit about fate vs. fighting fate. You two are the same goddamn person. We've been over this. Arguing about this is pointless, because it's equally fate for both of you.

And Mykage refers to Apollo as Apollonious again. You know, I'm convinced that this reincarnation business as it's brought up in EVOL is some sort of grand troll, and it will turn out that EVOL is some sort of non-cannon parallel after-universe to the original. Setting up Fudo as Apollonious just makes him look like a grand asshole who couldn't bother explaining shit to people who supposedly mattered to him 12,000 years ago.

We see the setup for the final battle, and the only way I could care less is if I could somehow give negative shits. Nothing in this series has mattered up to now. There's been not one whit of character growth experienced by our protagonist since the first episode, nothing brought over from the original series mattered because they're going to just Retcon everything away anyway, the 'bad guys' will never be redeemed because then who the hell would the good guys fight, and there's no such thing as a legitimate secondary couple to be found because that would just detract from the soap opera that is the awful primary cast.

To make matters worse, we're back to the worst song of the series, and the preview suggests that the awful main couple gets together! Surprise!

[up] Which song? Paradoxical Zoo? Its a good song man. Chill.

I'm really not the person to be advocating not bitching about a show since I've been ripping into Nisekoi over in the Medaka Box thread but really, its Aquarion. The original can be boiled down to a group of teenagers fighting against a jilted gay angel with a giant combining robot that runs on orgasms. Taking it TOO seriously is bad for your health.

We need more of these kinds of episodes.

Zessikage is disturbingly hilarious.

Andy and Mix alone make the show worth it as well. (Lol at Sazanka's reaction)

[down] That's kind of what I gathered too. Amata likes Mikono because she's Mikono, not because of fate. Admittedly, choosing to follow destiny isn't good for screwing destiny.

I find Amata's lines about fate to be okay because I think, maybe hope, what he tries to say is that he doesn't give a fuck about fate and when he refers to Kagura's Fate he does so dismissively.

I'm with Kagura mostly because Silvia was a far more likeable character than Mikono.

This is the reason I'm planning on writing a Fix Fic where Amata's traumatic abandonment and soul-ripping causes him to remember his true heritage as a shadow angel. His new motivation becomes reviving the shadow angels, by any means necessary.

It can't be considered a fix fic if there's a caveat that's specified to be shipping-connected, ya know. ^^;

Incidentally, I think if Amata was serious about fighting destiny, then after all of this he'd walk away from BOTH Mikono and Zessica, and make his own path separate from the cycles connected to Aquarion.
