1 2 We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be. -KVI really wished the rest of the South America paid more attention to Venezuela woes.
So far the only thing I've seen our leaders do was Michel Temer announcing he'd send a shipment of medicine to Venezuela because of the shortages, to the chagrin of the people who think those should go to us because of our recession.
Sadly Dilma, Kirchner, Correa and Morales hardly spoke against Maduro because "muh socialist fraternity!" and let the decaying of the Venezuelan situation go as it is.
I think save from Chile and Colombia the whole continent is broke as fuck due to shitty economic policies and corruption. Which makes the other gathering together to help Venezuela very unlikely.

Inter arma enim silent legesColombia is well on It's way to becoming another communist wreck thanks to Santos.
I'm the child of the sun! Eh? That's news for me.

How's Guyana?
Keep Rolling OnI have to be reminded that both Guiana and the French ones exists.
Damn, the Latin American Socialists have the talent of ruining everything they touch.
Inter arma enim silent legesGlorious Latin Socialism cannot into fail, only capitalist urban class pigs think so.
It's a shame people over here actually think this.I mean,we're certainly a continent away, and they don't bother to research much, but still.
Best of luck you guys.
Secret SignatureWell they wanted everyone to be more equal, with the exception of themselves of course, now everyone is equally poor.
[Animal Farm Intensifies]
Inter arma enim silent legesNapoleon at least had a functioning farm.
Secret SignatureWell, Colombia already has the Cubans running important places in the government and I've already heard of farmers getting their territories expropriated illegaly so they are handed over to drug dealers. Besides, I don't like Santos because he is a descendant of Santander.
....
Nah, It's not just that, not only does Santos has an open communist background, the frontier is already broken because of the FARC.
I'm the child of the sun! Holy fucking shit, sure Uribe did have his shady deals but at least he kept the focus on unfucking Colombia and improving the economic standing.
Is there any news in English where I can read about Santos fuck ups?

Inter arma enim silent legesSantos... that guy has to be the Colombian anti-christ.
I would love to explain it better but my computer got fried so I can't give decent links.
I'm the child of the sun! That (plus Suriname). We get news about Guyana when there's something about our border dispute, but that's about it. I'm guessing the language barrier, low population and us not having large cities near there means they might as well be on a different continent.
As for Colombia, the issue I hear most often is that the terms for the disarmament treaty are too lenient for their guerrillas and allows them to screw up the country in the future.
And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!I am a little saddened that we didn't keep pressure on Venezuela for any other reason than our corrupt italianissimo wanted to keep the heat off him. And the new president has been pretty neutral because realpolitik, argh.
A little late, but another lurker reporting in. Also, for the pitance that its worth, best wishes and I hope you all get through this okay. Both Venezuela as a whole, and all the tropers there.

Nihil assumpseris, sed omnia resolvere! Thanks for the support guys, I hope we can solve this.
I wanted everything to be solved in the elections of the 6-D but I don't know taking into account all the problems that the new government will have to face it might be worth the wait. I'm sure no matter which method the opposition tries if they properly organize themselves with a popular rejection of over 80% they could force the government into doing whatever they wanted.
I'm the child of the sun! It's getting harder and harder to be optimistic when we hit a new low everyday, kinda makes you miss those days when the government at least lied with intelligence, now they enjoy telling bold-faced lies to the people, trying to convince us that the things that WE (the people) live everyday are just delusional events. We kinda live in Wonderland, it's a wonder the country hasn't collapsed yet, since the government is pretty much wiping their asses with the constitution without consequence.
People in 1999: Meh, let's vote for Chavez, what could possibly go wrong?
Living life one step at a time.I feel yah, I wanted to arrogantly smile and say everything was going to be ok. But I don't know after watching people fall so low I don't think we can be governed any other way that isn't with fist and bullets.
I'm the child of the sun! Todo el mundo esta trastornado, todo el mundo la pasa putas.to be fair, thing werent good in 99 and playing capitan hindsight matter very little, right now is stare contest with the red to see how much they last

I'm the child of the sun!
I'm the child of the sun! Another reason because other latin america comunity is because chavez was the head of the new latin left for a lot of times as he was loudest(very loud) voice so is not a surprise the answer have been slow.
"Terminus reporting. Perhaps not the most appropriate name considering the situation."

I have this thread on my watchlist, and I can manage to get the gist of the posts that are written in Spanish. I'm also concerned about the Portuguese community there, which is one of the reasons I follow this thread.
