Spoiled rundown for people allergic to long videos:

• Voice chat/text during friend lobbies
• You can make custom tournies
• You can upload replays to Youtube
• Baby Rosalina and Pink Gold Peach as racers.
• Vehicles have been rebalanced; bikes are better for sharp turns, but karts are better on straight roads.
• You can download people's ghosts and beating staff ghosts now give people Miiverse stamps.
• New items include the Super Horn, a shockwave that can smack racers in range and DESTROY BLUE SHELLS, and the Crazy Eight, which is 7's Lucky Seven but with an extra item.
• Waluigi Stadium (GC) and possibly Bowser's Castle (Wii; I couldn't tell if it was the Wii track or just a new Bowser track) are back.

That's Wario Stadium (DS), not Waluigi Stadium. Didn't the giant Wario statue tip you off? >_> Also, that Bowser's Castle is new.

That said, I await when SSB uses a Gold version of Metal characters(or make Metal Mode use that instead of their Silver color in the Special Mode).

Tis an okay roster, but the lack of ones like Diddy and Dry Bones irks me. DLC might fix that, though. At least Waluigi and Mii are there. I'm glad to see the Koopalings playable, though.

Pink Gold Peach and Baby Rosalina be damned; I can't complain since I have the Koopalings and the return of Waluigi.

Still odd that they'd leave out Diddy Kong and Bowser Jr. for this, though. Maybe DLC's a possibility?

Considering they decided to give the last spots to those two awful characters, I think this all but confirms DLC for the game;

I'd imagine the first pack will be this:

• Diddy Kong
• Bowser Jr.
• Birdo
• Dry Bones

I'd like Petey Piranha, King Boo, and Dry Bowser to return too.

This game sounds GREAT! Also, EASY ULOADING OF video game footage! A nice move after last year. Also I'll finally have something for my You Tube account - Im not that experienced with editing software or uploading video game footage.

IMO the metal versions of the characters should be an item- maybe a metal hat like in Super Mario 64. Also now we have 5 babies.

I can see why people wouldn't like Baby Rosalina, but at the same time it was kind of expected. Pink Gold Peach, though. :/ I don't know whether it's too ridiculous to not like or just ridiculous.

You know who we need? Paper Mario. It's so obvious, I don't know why he isn't in yet.

With the free game thrown in, I'm definitely getting 8. The only question is whether to get Pikmin 3 or WWHD.

Well, considering you generally are seeing your racer from the back, wouldn't you just see a thin line where Paper Mario is most of the time...?

Y'know, my biggest question is "could they really not come up with a better name than Pink Gold Peach"?

I'd trade in Metal Mario for his Metal Dr. Mario version from Dr. Mario 64. At least he'd be more than a Palette Swap. That's the thing about the Babies. They actually required work to make new models for each. Not a high amount, but more than "reskinning" a character. I just wonder if Pink Gold Peach will have a different personality from Peach like Metal Mario(more cocky) does to Mario.

I'm admittedly fine with Metal Mario for weird recursive Canon Immigrant reasons.

I'm also fine with the babies for that reason- they at least take work to make.

I didn't think it was possible to lower the bar lower than 7's character selection. Atleast everything else about this game is awesome. And we got the Koopalings, which is 7 characters I agree with, which is more I can say about Wii or 7.

My biggest issue is deciding what game to get with the free download code....

Dang. Can't do the Bundle since I own a Wii U. I would've quite quickly picked up Wind Waker HD. >_<

Not that I need it. I like the Tingle Tuner, so...

Why isn't she just called Metal Peach?

Metal is specifically a silver/gray color in the series. So Gold is the color used. There's a Gold Mario◊ too. Silver Luigi◊ is closer to the regular Metal color. However, he uses a Gold Flower. Metal Luigi(only seen in SSB) retains his more grayish color, far darker than Silver Luigi.

It's because she has the same abilities as Gold Mario and Silver Luigi.

Pink Gold Peach is an Early-Bird Cameo for an upcoming game in which Peach is playable and the Gold Flower is a power-up.

Also, I just realized something. I think they just needed some more female characters: one lightweight and one heavyweight. They could have just used Plessie and one of the Sprixie Princesses, who are much more interesting than another chrome clone and another baby respectively.

Here I thought that Sakurai was Nintendo's resident Trolling Creator; the Mario Kart team must be even bigger ones! Either that, or they were smoking some pretty potent stuff.
