Also it seems like there's some sort of unwritten rule against linking your Tumblr on Facebook...but that's opposing fandoms for you I guess. Related to that is how many people use Tumblr to get away from their real-life friends and Freak Out upon seeing said friends discover their Tumblr. I personally don't care, and mostly never did; I joined Tumblr and did not know about all these silly customs for a few months, even going as far as to crosspost from Tumblr to FB (but stopped due to the lack of an option to selectively crosspost to FB rather than crosspost every post).

I copy pasta links from Tumblr to FB on occasion, but I do some bitchen' and moanin on there, but I always take pains to keep the worst potential outcome as mild embarrassment.

I also just had a poem liked by a dude with 8,000+ followers. I just had a brush-in with the Tumblr Famous.

Honestly though, I'd rather he liked or reblogged one of my godawful puns [1] [2].

What's the average for Tumblr followers? I have like, 45.

I treat mine as a file receptacle more than as an actual blog, so I don't feel that bad about gaining or losing followers :P

Single topic ones tend to have more followers - my other one has almost three hundred but my main one has seventy-some.

Straight males on the forums here kinda joke about being the minority. There's so little hate here that even if we were, it wouldn't mean much.

I'm starting to get the feeling that on Tumblr we actually are. At least when it comes to discussing certain topics. And there is genuine vehemence there.

I almost feel like the statistics of the real-world have been flipped to some degree, and it's disheartening to see how little that changes things. The minorities feel the need to fight back while they're marginalized, and do so in a variety of means.

Meanwhile the majority runs the gamut in their reactions to the minority, although I do think there are more sensible people on these issues than not.
