It's about time. No Panzer Dragoon general, no Nights into Dreams general, etc. so I just decided this'd be easier.

Anyone play Sega Saturn besides me? Anyone?

Sadly, I did not get the opportunity to play a Sega Saturn.

... Oh shit, that means Segata Sanshiro is going kill me! D:

There's always emulators. And I would highly, highly suggest at least emulating it just for Panzer Dragoon Saga. That game kicks ass and takes names.

Favorite game?

Three Dirty Dwarves, with Darius Gaiden being a close second.

It's a great little system. I wanted one for my birthday but the plan kind of fell through :(.

Three Dirty Dwarves, and Darius Gaiden are both kickass games.

I prefer the holy Panzer Dragoon trilogy, along with Nights into Dreams and Guardian Heroes.

I've still got my old Saturn knocking around somewhere. As well as a copy of Nights. And Sonic Jam.

Nights is awesome, and I've just recently started collecting for the Saturn, and it kicks ass. Major ass. The games cost a lot, though. Sega should make a "Sega Saturn Collection" just like they did with Dreamcast and Genesis; it'll hopefully lower the price of the games I'd like to get.

Edit: a little hidden gem called "D" is also great. It's survival horror with excellent plot three discs long. Resident Evil on steroids.

I still get my Saturn out and hook it up every so often, although now that emulation is actually running that's not as common. Love love love Panzer Dragoon Saga, and I'm a Shining Force fanboy too so getting to play III all the way through at last was awesome.

An emulator won't work on my computer. So I'm stuck to whoring off anyone else's Saturn. I also really like Shining, so I played III. Except I haven't played the next two episodes, so it feels kind of incomplete.

I want to play Shining 3, been playing the first one these past two days. I didn't even know there was a Saturn emu out. I heard Sega didn't know how to emulate Saturn games which is why there's been no release of games from the system over Live or anything.

Ni GHTS used to be one of my favorites, as well as Fighters' Megamix.

Emulator-wise, there is Satourne, which is really complicated. I prefer SSF. Most emulators for the Saturn really can't do much do to the Saturn's complexity. I'm just glad Guardian Heroes is coming to Xbox Arcade.

Does anyone else agree with me when I think Panzer Dragoon Saga deserves a re-make? For me, it ranks up there with Final Fantasy VII.

[up][up]Definitely so. I'd say anyone who says otherwise hasn't played it or heard about it.

Ah, I loved this console. My brother got one back in 1996 the same month he got the N64. I played this system all the time when I was younger, especially loved playing Clockwork Knight on it. Sadly I didn't get to play the sequel until years later but when I did, my childhood felt complete and I enjoyed every bit of it. I also loved the excellent port of Earthworm Jim 2 this system had, no doubt the best version. Thinking of buying UMK 3 or MKT (If I can find it) for it. Back to Clockwork Knight, that game and its sequel need an Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and maybe even Steam release. Now.

Every game that is playable (that hasn't had another re-release) needs an Xbox Arcade/PSN/Wii Channel release. So many undiscovered classics.

Also, does anyone have any idea how to set up a Saturn emulator?

[up] Never played Panzer Dragoon. Looks like a good game though. Usually I would recommend playing Saturn games on a real Saturn rather than an emulator.

YOU WILL LIKE IT. Unless you have the "games are only good with good graphics and guns" attitude. I just realized that statement is an alliteration.

Graphics smaphics I still play Megadrive games NO PROBLEM. And guns are for sissies, real men use SWORDS. Or some other kind of melee weapon.
