Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 confirmed.

And it doesn't have to be Venom, but Spider Man deserves more than one character as is. Note how they returned 3 of the Four Gods of Marvel VS Capcom 2. To say the least, the roster is far from perfect. It's not about one particular character as is, but about not giving any particular franchise too much love.

Doctor Strange. YES. So now one can actually have Dormammu and Shuma-Gorath go up against their arch enemy. And now one can make a team of Steve Ditko-created characters, Spidey, Strange, and Dormammu.

God, I really wish I had a console to play this on.

On the plus side, HOLY S***, IT'S STRIDER HIRYU, GHOST RIDER, VERGIL, AND FIREBRAND!

On the minus side, they just pulled a Capcom Sequel Stagnation on us. With a Vs. title. Who does that? It's only been five months since vanilla MvC3. Even Super SSFIV had about a year. I mean, F***, I shelled out $60 for that sucker back in March and now you're telling me that I have to buy a new version?

Also, the lack of Ms. Marvel and Gambit makes me a sad panda... again. Seriously, I have no qualms with Rocket Raccoon or Nova or Iron Fist or even Hawkeye (he's going to need something flashy to make him stand out from Taskmaster aka Mr. "AIMA HAHKEYE!"), but to skip out on Marvel's poster girl and a character who was among the most requested characters for the game? Shame on you, Capcom. Shame. On. You. And let's not even get started on Gene, who would've fit into this perfectly.

All in all, I'm ambivalent, but yeah, I'll probably buy it.

I think I'd be a bit more willing to accept this if it came out at least a year and a half from the first game's release.

I agree about the health bars if only it makes it a bit tricky to tell how much health your partners have left. Maybe if they brighten them up a bit. Plus I think the overall design looks amateurish.

Anyways, played vanilla Mv C 3 with my little cousin. He wanted to get it, but I advised him to wait.

x7 Rocket Raccoon? He's from Guardians Of The Galaxy. He's a SPACE LANCE space raccoon. With a gun. Better Than It Sounds, trust me.

The look of the new meter bar isn't that wonderful either. They could have kept those the same. The three updates of Street Fighter IV left the HUD mostly unchanged.

Hm. No Psylocke or Frank West? No buy, then, at least not until it comes down in price.

Strider is cool, though.

Frank was leaked. Aside from the four in the trailer, the other new fighters are Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Nova, Rocket Raccoon, Frank West, Nemesis, Phoenix Wright, and Vergil.

Yeah, there are loads of characters I still want to see... (I haven't played Mv C 2 and...don't really want to. I don't like the Street Fighter control style, and Mv C 2's seems closer to that than Mv C 3's or Tv C's. And I don't want to shell out the money just to find out.)

I would've liked to see Gambit, Silver Surfer, Black Panther, Ms Marvel, Psylocke, Blade, Venom, Nick Fury, and Cyclops before Iron Fist, Nova, Rocket Raccoon, or Hawkeye, (or Shuma-Gorath, She-Hulk, or X-23, for that matter) but...wait, I forgot what my point was.

Doctor Strange, but no Tessa is a misfire. So is having Super Skrull, but not Spider-Woman (if you've read Secret Invasion, you'll understand why). And of course, Gene needs to Dragon Kick Galactus' ass into the Milky Way! (~Milky Waaaaay!~) Quite simply, there's a nearly infinite number of MMOAs because there are just so many characters who could've meshed well with the game.

I don't care for this anymore. But I like Iron Fist, so maybe.

Oh, wait, I remember now. I was going to say "There's always Marvel Vs Capcom 4, I guess". Hopefully.

Rocket Racoon, he was in Guardians Of The Galaxy. He's part of Marvel's Cosmic characters.

And i don't see how they are lacking in Spider-Man characters. You have Spider himself.

I can also understand why they don't have Gene. They aren't doing anything with his series.

Well, Spider Man does have quite a few memorable villains. Dr Octopus, Green Goblin, Venom...uh...Rhino, Lizard, Hobgoblin, that electric guy, Mysterio...Eh, that's all I got.

Or Strider, for that matter. Or Tron Bonne.

The same could be said of many of the characters. The last Darkstalkers game was back in the late nineties. Viewtiful Joe has been Left Hanging thanks to that Clover Studios fiasco. Final Fight's last installment was the terrible Streetwise. Shuma-Gorath's recognition stems almost entirely from being in this series, not as a Doctor Strange villain. That's really not a good reason.

It would be so awesome if we had Gene...

...But his X-Factor would have to involve him unleashing the God Hand while this music plays.

Er, characters don't have unique X-Factors, I don't think...it could be one of his Hyper Combos, though /nitpick

Gene's Theme Music Powerup would be the TROMBE OVERRIDE of the Vs. series.
