Does Magna Angemon have a Fallen/Demon counterpart?
Cos we have
- Angemon - Devimon
- Seraphimon - Daemon
- Angewomon - Lady Devimon
- Ophanimom - Lilithmon
And why, whenever I see Magna Angemon, do I think of Archangel Michael?
What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.I'd say SkullSatamon works well enough. Being a skeleton, he's undead, which can be considered "unholy" and he pretty much is darkness. Myotismon is a Nightmare Soldier and even can digivolve from Devimon as well. There's also NeoDevimon, who could work as a decent counterpart. I feel it's never been obvious for this particular level.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.Neo Devimon works the best for that IMO; Skull Satamon is mostly a jogress, and doesn't make a smooth transition between Devimon and Daemon.
I too had thought it would be Neo Devimon best.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySkullSatamon has the same "Ultimate who can fight evenly with Megas" thing going.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."As if the power levels in the anime were consistent when they could get in the way of a neat story.
They wanted to sell Imperialdramon toys. Ergo, they had to show Fighter Mode, but to do so, they made both Dragon Mode AND Fighter Mode look like wimps. Fighter mode is canonically almost Omegamon tier, after all.
And lol Frontier and levels.
The Frontier Digimon are considered "Hybrid Level", which is the writers' way of saying that their relative power levels were kept fairly consistent relative to each other, but they ignored everything else's levels.
Until they introduced Duskmon that's it.
Well, after his arc, that is true anyway...
In 02 that was primarily due to his speed.
And instant paralysis attack.
And glitching Imperialdramon by attacking in the middle of the transformation sequence.
Fucking 02...
Imperialdramon consistently sucked though. Apparently he didn't even register in the Wargreymon vs Blackwargreymon fight, after all.

Those darned Dramon Destroyers.
Well, Imperialdramon only appeared in the last second to save WarGreymon, so it is not a wonder he is not remembered. The guy just didn't stay much in the fight.

And, once again, Imperialdramon Fighter Mode should pack plenty more of firepower than War Greymon.
Has there been any news lately on the new series?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyGood question! Last time I've checked they revealed the full designs of every DigiDestined from the first series, but still no words on the 02 kids. We know they will be there, but no info on them. It seems they got Demoted to Extra for whatever reason, similar to how the original 8 were treated in 02.
Also, Adventure Tri will seemingly have a deconstructive nature since the Digital World is no longer a secret and the plot will deal with how the humans and the Digimon will react to the new status quo.
Other than that we are still trying to hatch the eggs to get more information, but a DemiDevimon blocked them and we are now punching it to death.
...What was that last part?
Also, the Adventure cast, with Tamers-like deconstruction? Sign me up!
...for therapy.
All we know about the plot is that it's taking ques from 02's epilogue and that it is about problems between humans and digimon as well as those that come about from everyone having a digimon partner. That doesn't mean it'll be a deconstruction.
Um, yes, it is.
It's taking something previously in the realm of fantastic and carefree adventure and showing realistic consequences.
That's what Deconstruction actually is.
Watch SymphogearIt's not necessarily the bleak end of Tamers, but even from the beginning, Tamers was a deconstruction.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyNeoDevimon were created by Neo Saiba using a sample of Arkadimon's data. They are the worker class of Neo world. Skullsatamon is a jogress of Ogremon and Devimon and thus would be a "counterpart" to Shakkoumon. MagnaAngemon's fallen counterpart is Murmukusmon. If you want an abnormally powerful demon ultimate, that's Astamon.

That's why he wants you to have the money. Not so you can buy 14 Cadillacs but so you can help build up the wastesYeah, Tamers really works as a Deconstruction of the Mon genre. Initially, it had a kid who regularly treated her Digimon with videogame logic, which meant fighting wild Digimon for Exp, and engaging in battle with every other Tamer she met, but those other Tamers actually called her out on her pointlessly violent behaviour. We see the government treating the existence of Mons as a security issue as well, and that's also early in the series.
Then there was the "Holy shit, where are we going to store this suddenly growing dinosaur that doesn't conveniently shrink back down whenever we need it!" and "Wow, strapping a dog-rabbit with machine guns is actually pretty disturbing when you think about it."
The sad, REAL American dichotomy
PicoDevimon is blocking the eggs on the website. They probably need extra time for something or other.
