I'll concede that Cap should have put up a better fight and that he would be unlikely to throw his shield away like that, but remember that the fight we see is only accurate to the fight that might actually take place in terms of how it would end.
Also, the primary reason Spider-Man won was because his superhuman abilities were more than Batman could hope to match in a straight fight, especially considering his spider-sense neutered Batman's key advantage. The fact that the Green Goblin shares some superficial similarities with Batman is just icing on the cake, and since GG and Bats have a good number of differences as well, I don't believe that Spider > Goblin, Goblin = Bat, therefore Spider > Bat is a logical assumption to make.
Those are just things that irk me, not end-all be-alls of my opinion on the fights. And I believe I very recently said I was aware that the fights shown don't necessarily show how things would go.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyJust watched it.
Kinda went quickly.
Also, I think it's funny as hell in that in addition to the 6 vs 6 motif that the next battle has, they also managed to invoke Tiger vs. Dragon as well.
Are the Tigerzord and Epyon even around the same size?

One Strip! One Strip! Then how is this even fair?
One Strip! One Strip! It really isn't.
My various fanfics. The Tigerzord is larger, but the Epyon outclasses it in every other respect.
Having watched the episode, while I was rooting for Cap, I wasn't disappointed with their reasoning, though yeah, the battle felt too short. Between this and Leonardo vs Zitz, it seems that Death Battle generally favors stealth tactics provided it isn't ineffective against their opponent (like in the case of Batman vs Spidey)

Except in the whole "My pilot has actual super powers, a sentient sword with Eye Beams, and the ability to teleport" aspect

... almost every other respect.

Epyon has used it's super-beamsaber to slice a giant space station cleanly in half. I think we can give it the benefit of doubt.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. It's almost like this is a fight we'd like to see an outcome of.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYou know what? I do not care this much. When is Zechs Merquise vs. Tommy Oliver?

No idea.

So Batman Vs. Captain America... was that, like, the fastest Death Battle we had? I mean, it felt like it ended really quickly.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I fart in that battle's general direction.
My various fanfics.Oddly enough, no. Pikachu vs. Blanka was at least a few seconds shorter.
I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money. That was...a pretty bad eposode
It was filler. Filler is usually bad.
I suppose we should have been suspicious when they used someone who'd already fought in the past.
.....Who's going to be piloting Epyon? I'd assume it's Zech, but the clip in the beginning has the scene where Heero gets it (and he was the original Pilot as well).
One Strip! One Strip!I'm pretty sure the following suggestion is obligatory and has already been made, probably by me, but...
Jack Cayman vs Travis Touchdown. Thoughts?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'll admit, the main reason I wanted Cap to win is because I get sick of all of the Batman Fan Wank.
Wasn't Epyon vs. Tigerzord announced before the Cap vs. Batman ep anyways?
#IceBearForPresident
But Bats got stomped by Spidey in their fight, so there's hardly any fan-wank at all.
This is the first fight he's ever won. It's only his second fight, but still.
One Strip! One Strip!
Some things that irk me are that: part of the reason why Spidey beat Bats is because he goes against similar people on the regular. But so does Cap. Cap trains against the other Avengers, including Nighthawk and Moon Knight, who are explicitly expies of Batman. He's also presumably fought Osborn, Tony, or similar people before, and while he doesn't win all the time, I could imagine that helping him put up a better fight than was shown here. Also, he had literally no equipment other than his shield, which he generally has as a bare minimum. And of course, again, I highly doubt Cap would blindly throw his shield.
