So, it looks like they are focusing entirely on Renamon, as opposed to her evolving to Kyuubimon or any higher forms.

Which isn't too much of a shock, since (even if she often had Rika / Ruki helping her) Renamon seemed to be able to somewhat punch above her weight class.

That being said, if they do it that way and let Lucario Mega Evolve somehow, then it won't be a fair fight (although they might not allow either of them to change forms anyway).

I can't vouch for this myself, but I've heard from others that the fight's going to be trainerless and tamerless- on Lucario's end meaning no Mega Evolution, or even access to TM moves.

In this Death Battle, we get to watch two Glass Cannons go at each other.

Hmm, will Power Paw be classified as Ghost, Fire, or something else? The former won't be very effective against Lucario's Steel Type defenses, while the latter would be the opposite.

And then you have Razor Leaf Diamond Storm. Lucario's Steel Type once again works in its favor again.

However, I feel that Renamon's basic attacks might be Mundane Made Awesome: they might counteract Lucario's defense.

Also, that poor cat.

They're more than likely including aura, which might tip things in Lucario's favor.

Hi Guys - since it hasn't been mentioned i might as well mentioned it.

DB had a RTX Panel where they revealed information

RTX Revealed that two Death Battle Xs are in the works: Zero vs Strider is the next DBX and it will be animated by the same guy who animated Raphael vs Wolverine. Secondly Sun Wukong will be fighting Kim Wu in a DBX animated by Torrian next year. There was a teaser for Sun Wukong vs Kim Wu that was shown for all viewers but Zero vs Strider was for those who were at RTX(it will be released on Friday for First Viewers

RTX also revealed one of the upcoming Death Battles Mcgruff the Crime Dog vs Smokey Bear will be a DB and it will be the first DB that will be Flash Animated - it's not the next one after Lucario vs Renamon but they showed a small trailer for those at RTX.

Thirdly a bunch of OMM,DBX,DEATH BATTLE,CFC Animators have come together as a side project to work on a new series - Mini Rumble and Riot Rumble. I thought you guys might be interested. So after seeing that video I have to ask, but could Simon actually survive an assault from a Stand as physically fast and powerful as The World?

from a quick google search it appears he has some form of immunity or way to counteract time stopping, but i dont really know any specifics

I think simon could probably handle a few blows from a Stand, personally.

One that is comparable to a Stand capable of punching through artificial diamond and move at speeds fast enough to intercept bullets fired at point-blank range though? I mean, The World is strong and fast enough to best Star Platinum in a clash of punches, is able to punch through a human with ease, and last time I checked Simon doesn't really seem to wear any form of armor beyond the leather armor he has in his current depictions.

It would probably do four pips of damage if it hit.

I mean, I don't doubt that the Vampire Killer, holy sub-weapons, and the Stopwatch could do DIO in, it's getting to that part that's the issue.

They've also done other battles on the Mini Rumble thing that have....questionable outcomes, like their Sanji vs Gohan fight, where Gohan looks to be in his Ultimate Gohan state.

Speaking of X-men I would like to see the mutant messiah hope summers fight in death battle.

So, despite my preference for fights where the winner is not a sure thing, I've been thinking that Yusuke Yurameshi vs Batsu Ichimonji would be a good thematic fight.

Yusuke would wreck Batsu, what with being an S Class Demon and all (since S Class demons, while varying in power even more than any other rank, can become strong enough to destroy the world), but as a fight between delinquent fighters in school uniforms (though now that I think about it, Batsu may not actually be a delinquent) it'd be pretty thematically appropriate.

The Mini Rumbles are there for fun - like One Minute Melee and Death Battle X . Regarding Sun Wukong vs Kim Wu (54:00) https://www.twitch.tv/videos/157535189. This is the small teaser they released

The reason why there have been less 3D Fights is because Torrian is working on two projects at once.

Mac Gruff the Crime Dog versus Smokey the Bear is a Death Battle they've been promising for a while. I'm surprised there are enough feats for either of them to make it a Death Battle rather than a DBX.

Curious - Which fights would you like to see be Flash Animated. My pick is Mickey vs Bugs.

Side Note: Castlevania due to certain reasons got a massive upgrade in power recently. Every Castlevania protagonist is Multi-Universe Level and stronger then the likes of Goku and Superman http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/Simon_Belmont

I'm missing the part where Simon is super god-like.

Simon defeated Dracula and the Time Reaper who was destroying the very fabric of time around at least two timelines. His power is what maintains the existence of The Abyss, which is composed of 6 separate universes. So the Time Reaper can create/destroy universes yet Simon was able to kill him

I guess speaking of Castlevania, after the Netflix series is done with Dracula's Curse arc, I would like to see Trevor Belmont in a battle.

That's not really a solid basis for much. Every protagonist in Castlevania beats Death, but it doesn't mean they're immune to dying. He just has a physical form that can be disrupted. So their metaphysical purpose doesn't really seem to be an unavoidable thing when dealing with their physical body.

I'll remind everyone that Death is the English translation, and his Japanese name is Shinigami. And I don't think the series makes it clear if he's the singular Shinigami or merely a shinigami, but either way it depends on how much DB is willing to cite the Japanese versions over the English ones (or vice versa).
