I've heard a couple of people on the Screwattack forums claim that they want Garnet to be Venom's opponent. Does anyone know what she and Venom have in common?
I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.on the surface there is the fact that both are two beings combined into one. Other than that and the fact that when either split it is due to an external force or an internal disagreement between the two halves that make up Venom or Garnet. That would be the things that easily come to mind in regards to similarities.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaI keep asking the same question and never get an answer.
Venom and Alex barely have anything in common. Alex and Cole totally do.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Well, there's still this hint from Torrian, unless it's not Death Battle Related.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Well, whatever it is, I really hope that it isn't Bane.

Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?I could see them picking one of the DBZ villains on the grounds of just "aliens".
Someone in the replies said it might be someone volcano related, given that Jeice is using his attack Volcano Crusher.
Which sounds like a horrific stomp. Venom recoils like a bitch from a bic lighter, what the hell is a volcano gonna do to him?

Well, really the only thing Venom and Alex Mercer have in common is Lovecraftian Superpowers, but I would argue that the symbiote can be even more versatile in that regard given that Mercer is limited in regard to what he can morph his body into, while the symbiote isn't. Furthermore, it's been stated several times over the years that the symbiote is magnitudes stronger than it was when it first bonded to Peter Parker, and that was before it underwent the Cleanse and became even more powerful. While they still cause it pain, it's powered through flames and sonic attacks alike, and more often than not those only serve to piss it off.
Is there anyone/anything that works well with Venom regarding the "alien creature" aspect of the character?
I sort of want to suggest the Jaime Reyes version of Blue Beetle versus Venom, but other than the "I have an alien as a Super Suit" they don't work that well as opponents.
Shinichi Izumi from Parasyte The Maxim.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Ken Kakeni from Tokyo Ghoul
I knew someone was going to say that!
Shinichi came first
Besides, the parasites in Parasyte are, you know, actual aliens. The parasites in Tokyo Ghoul are, from what I've seen, just a part of their world and the alien aspect is downplayed.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!A Xenomorph?
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.According to Venom Vol. 1, symbiotes are acid-proof.
Why did no one tell me Scrooge Mc Duck was such a badass?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Death by your own weapon. And it wasn't even clean, either. It took three times to cleave Shovel's head off.
And thus, Disney enjoys a lofty position in the "perfect streak" club alongside Mobile Metal Gear and the SNK crew.
The fight itself was a visual spectacle, too. Compared to some earlier fights that were animated with 8-bit sprites (i.e. Bomberman VS Dig Dug), everything here looked clean and all the hits had impact. Very lovely work~! The decapitation was less clean, though. Not in the "badly animated" sense, in the "hard to stomach looking at" sense.
As for next time, my money's on Venom VS Blue Beetle, but that could be way off the mark. My backup guess is Venom VS Xenomorph because why the hell not? Doesn't make sense, but... well, we're hot off the heels of a battle where the only correlation was "pogo jumping."

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaIf I were to have one issue with the battle, it's that until Scrooge got out those special ray guns the animation had the fight pretty one-sided in Shovel Knight's favor. Great episode though.
Okay, so being an uber-Disney Duck comics fan (as you can tell by my avatar) I'm glad that they dug deep into Scrooge's repertoire for research, but still... I do feel like the video kinda proves what a poor match-up this was.
I was rooting for Scrooge, but I do find it a tad questionable that the ace that that let him turn the tides on Shovel Knight was an item that he used in literally one story, and isn't even really Scrooge's to begin with. I mean, if Scrooge even kept those guns he certainly isn't carrying them around all the time.
One thing I'm kinda disappointed Scrooge didn't quite take advantage of was his money-swimming ability. If Shovel Knight had actually hurt himself trying to jump into the money after Scrooge it'd have been a funny tribute to Scrooge's very first◊ starring role.

Nes Classic: I don't think Disney has a perfect streak considering that Boba Fett, Captain America, Quicksilver, and Hulk lost.
Not naming Wolverine because they don't own his film rights.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I meant more in "Disney proper" than anything, meaning just Scrooge and Goliath. I count Star Wars and the Marvel properties as their own things, and ditto for Indiana Jones if he's ever used.
I had another thought for the next fight: maybe it's Venom VS Ryuko Matoi? I don't know if there's any similarities beyond "extraterrestrial parasite as armor" but I know that Torrian's really wanted to use her in a fight for a while.

Which he recovered completely from by eating a crow.
