What your English teachers wouldn't teach you about Shakespeare.
When Pride Month and Shakespeare Month collide;
Fuck, I still need to check out more of Rantasmo's videos. He's great.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? So, BHH and Needs More Gay are working together on this video? This'll be interesting. I like a few of Rantasmo's videos so I'll definitely be watching.
I watched the video last night. It was pretty good. It's kind of interesting how much Shakespeare's work can be applied to the LGBT community
In which Kyle gets political
this is the first time I'm hearing folks like Lindsay and now Kyle use 'neoliberal' in their criticism
MOVE OVER BATMAN
Huh, never heard of this movie before.
I wonder if Kyle would be willing to look at a specific MCU property. Granted, he's done a video about the Avengers before, but I wonder if he might have something interesting to say about the Captain America movies, or Jessica Jones (although I imagine he'd want to say something that nobody else has before, which would be...difficult).
Oh God! Natural light!I saw this movie about a month ago.
I respected the hell out of what it was trying to do, but simply didn't think it was very good at it.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Thor movies?
After Ragnarok comes out, sure.
Oh God! Natural light!I mostly want them compared and contrasted to Norse sagas, though I don't know who would do that (and mostly only because I read every Norse saga ever on the Toast) there is much less searching for legal loopholes from my understanding among other things In the Thor movies.
I doubt there's enough similarities in tone and theme to even attempt a compare-and-contrast style video between Marvel's Thor movies and Norse sagas. Those comics/movies owe far more to Anglosphere literature like Shekespeare and Tolkien than they do to the likes of Snorri Sturluson or Saxo Grammaticus.
Oh Norse Sagas weren't what I meant, that's not relevant to your point, I just realized my mistake I more meant Norse stories than the Sagas or myths.
You're right about it making more sense with Shakespeare and I would wholly suspect that Kyle would go with that more sensible angle.
If I recall his previous Avengers video, he already has acknowledged that.
Oh God! Natural light!I imagine Stan Lee didn't know that either when he came up with The Mighty Thor.
A(n unfortunately) relevant film:
Reiterating that Jourdain's a great critic and here is her review of Logan.
Well I can't say I ever expected Kyle to make a video about Monster Factory. A couple of my friends are super into this show, I've only watched bits and pieces of it but it looks really intriguing.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? The episodes on The Forbidden Room and Sherman's March might be Kyle's two most poignant videos ever, the Melancholia epic aside. I swear he just keeps getting better and better.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.
