According to Chris Crocker, the answer isn't simply one or the other, because a trans person could be harassed in either.

Anime geemu wo shinasai!Hm. . . My friend Penny is intersexed, though her vagina was cauterised at birth; she still uses the female restroom despite urinating with a penis.
My name is Cu Chulainn. Beside the raging sea I am left to moan. Sorrow I am, for I brought down my only son.I don't know if this is the best thread for this, but since this one is described by the OP as discussing "any form of genderqueer"...
Does anyone know what is the opposite-sex term for "femboy", as defined by Urban Dictionary?
For a girl? ...tomboy?
I dunno, honestly... I think the "technical" term would be metrosexual, no?
I am now known as Flyboy. No, "metrosexual" would describe a person (usually male) being extremely attentive to personal appearance, hygeine and such to the point that he can get stereotyped as "gay" without being actually homosexual (or even bisexual). See The Dandy for more info.
I think that what I'm looking for note is supposed to be an Up To Eleven version of "tomboy" that has the gender-ambiguity of a Bifauxnen while not necessarily being Pretty Boy-ish. Hell if I know what it should be called; I've tried looking for such search terms as "butchgirl", "mangirl", "mascgirl" ("masc" as in "masculine"), and even "guygirl", but apparently there's an overwhelming Double Standard that deems extremely masculine females to the point of ambiguous gender as "so disgustingly wrong it should not even be deigned with a mention", which is... well, utterly silly.
EDIT: Replaced non-functioning old markup.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. An amazon? That's still stretching the term, though.
Yeah, that's definitely inappropiate, since "amazon" also applies to women who just happen to be quite physically strong and muscular in a man-like way, but still retain considerable femininity. See Wonder Woman and She Hulk.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Femboy is the rather obviously (YMMV) gender flipped version of tomboy, imo.
fair enough.

If it's YMMV, then perhaps it's not all that obvious.
@Marq, post 6: I think the actual trope for metrosexual is Camp Straight.
somethingMetrosexual redirects to The Dandy, though.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
First off, this hetero male cissexual has always found indivisuals of alternative lifestyle quite interesting.
Anyway, this thread is basically for discussion on transexuals, or any form of genderqueer. But I do have my own small question to ask.
If a pre-op trans person needs to use a public restroom, would they use the restroom of their birth gender, or their gender identity?
