A Baron and his Rip van Winkles

TheBaron (well, his title is actually Freiherr rather than Baron but anyway) is one of TheMasquerade's most effective operatives when it comes to beating the crap out of monsters.

He is now, however, assigned a new job for a while. He is Really700YearsOld (Well 330 is more exact...) and therfore according to his superiors well suited to take care of two unrelated kids with magical powers RipVanWinkled forward 300 or something years in time since they are from "his time".

He is supposed to teach them how to fit in somewhat in modern society and teach them their powers TotallyNotAWerewolf for the boy and generic magic for the girl.(He has help of his friens with this.) (Th kids don't know about their powers.)

My questions to you, to begin with

• How old should the kids be in this story? They have just entered puberty, but remember this was over 300 years ago... (I mean the age of puberty has been lowered the last centuries, what would be a reasonable age for them if they were Rip van Winkled when about an year into puberty?).

• Any ideas of how they might react to waking up in the future and what thy find there?

Sixteen?

The story is supposed to take place at least a year before the main story, when they are 16... (Well when I think of it they could be 17 or 18 in the main story, not everybody looks their age after all, especially so since people from 300 years ago were shorter than what people are today.)
