The problem that I see with that is that the DF Universe is technologically not much more advanced than we. And most people in the council still consider the telephone somehat newflangled. The idea that the Council would create Magitek.../ (or rather that they would allow it to live after they consider it a danger...)
Not to mention that the tech in the char would most likely explode the first time he stands to close to a true Wizard slinging Magic (or simply hexing him)

Maybe he could be more like an Energy Being-ish creation of some sort. The point is to make it so he strays close to Humanoid Abomination. I could compare him to Rei Ayanami.
What is really ironic would be, as I intend to reveal, who convinced them to let it live, and who never updated the seals and who has designs on Michael.

Hmm...a spirit given form? Or rather "implanted" in a newborn or such. (Spirit ala Bob, or rather an artifically constructed one)...would probably go better.
Still, make it better a Black Ops in the council instead of an official (but secret) project. The borderline paranoid about black magic council would never make such a thing.
And try to stay out of possible Character Derailment for official chars, kay ;)?

That...actually works much, much better than being a weird robot thing.
And the Black Ops thing could make for some fascinating interactions, should Michael meet his real dad.

3 of 4 brought up some goods points, and you seem to addressed some.of them. I can understand the spirit inside of a.physical construct theme, but theres going to be a limit to his power.

As far as ending up on the wrong side of a Warden, this is an event I've planned on. Mainly, to make Michael believe both "good" and "evil" are out to get him.
