It's good that the description on "Fantastic Voyage" Plot has an explanation about where the trope name comes from, but I think a trope name that referenced the idea of the trope would be more effective. I had never heard of The Fantastic Voyage, and it doesn't even have a trope page here, so the general public is probably unfamiliar with the Trope Maker/Namer.

I like the title idea on the discussion page, The Journey To The Center Of The Brain, except maybe it's a bit long, and sometimes the travelers don't go to the brain.

I agree that the name may be non-indicative, but I think its stats are not bad.

"Fantastic Voyage" Plot found in: 210 articles, excluding discussions.

This title has brought 1,077 people to the wiki from non-search engine links since 20th FEB '09.

I would like to see evidence of misuse before renaming it. That being said, I could certainly see how the name might be discouraging the use of what seems to be a pretty common trope.

I've checked over most of the wicks, and none of the ones I read misused it. Even though it's not very self-explanatory, it's working fine, so we should leave it alone if there are no objections.

The Fantastic Voyage isnt exactly an unknown film. Hell, The Simpsons spoofed it in one of its Halloween episodes.

I always thought it was pretty well-known, but I read the novelization in school in fifth grade, so I might have, uh... School Curriculum Myopia?

I don't think this one needs changing.

I don't think "I never heard of it" is a valid reason to change a trope name. No one is born knowing everything there is to know about the creations of mankind.

If it was "nobody's ever heard of it" then I'd agree with renaming it. But if a show winds up being spoofed on The Simpsons, I'd say that isn't the case.

Agree with Omega Kross. "I've never heard of it" is a failure of the "I", not of the "it". Still, an Adjectivy Noun redirect might make things easier.

I'm siding with a rename, but not entirely. I've gotten used to the name myself, but when I first came around, I had no idea what made a voyage so fantastic. It was only when I got to the article did I remember it was the name of that movie where they go inside of someone.

So I don't think it needs a rename, but a clearer name might be better.

I'm kinda mixed on this one, the movie is familiar, but it also may be less well-known by future generations.

If it's not seeing misuse and not languishing, it's probably ok, but it might not hurt to do some redirect farming for searchers. How about Voyage Through The Body?

There are some wicks pointing at the redirect Fantastic Voyage that think they're pointing at a works page, so I changed it to a disambiguation. Redirects Are Free, but they shouldn't usurp the name of a work.

Voyage Through The Body is a good redirect. Are we done here?

On re-reading the article, I think it might be good to have Journey To The Center Of The Body as well. Article claims (and it may be true) that this is commonly snowcloned for the title of episodes that use this trope.
