I finally got the September issue of Game Informer on AC:Unity and Rogue and read it on the way to college in Flagstaff. The articles REALLY set me on the hype train.
ARGH! I DON'T WANT TO LIKE YOU BUT I DOOOOOOOOO!
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.Chapter 3: The Road to Revolution
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Pumped about Assassin's Creed Unity. On other note, in my Game Informers magazine said that Assassin's Creed Rogue playable protagonist Shay may be why AC III Achilles is so reluctant to mentor Connor and disillusioned.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenOh my, that IS quite a bit of Epileptic Trees.
But I think quite a good one.
And is half-crippled?
Very curious about Shay's fate.
Well the Seven Years War would be right around where we stopped playing Haytham, and we know that we'll start playing Shay prior to his turn, so count me in on this theory.
That too. Just where is our Assassin Hunter when Connor starts stirring shit up?

"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenMaybe Rogue will end with Shay being killed by Achilles in a final boss fight where you play as Achilles, Shay has all of your abilities and weapons, and it ends with Shay shooting Achilles's leg in a way that half-cripples him?
How does that make any sense? That sounds like the least satisfying way to end the game, and AC already gets flack for not being able to end well.
And Achilles has no descendants anyway.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Maybe Shay does wound Achilles, but he gets away from Shay? The game could still end that way. Storm the castle, but the Hero gets away.
Abstergo doesn't need descendants any more. All they need is the DNA, and anyone can relive the memories. All they would actually have to do is go grave-robbing. But, it would be a stupid ending.
That said, I don't doubt for second that Shay cripples Achilles.

Well, we've had Haytham dying still loyal to the Templar ideals. Maybe Shay will decide both are wrong and strike off on his own. For some reason I'm picturing a The Departed esque ending (not a prediction, just spitballing).

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Just a heads up for anyone who ain't get their Games Informer magazine last week regarding AC Unity: present day story protagonist will be our lovable, Butt-Monkey and ever slick hacking Heroic Mime Abstergo analyst employee.
"We just want to give them a chance to do it more, to display better, so we decided to make players the main protagonists for the story", is creative director Alex Amancio's word regarding the matter.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenI can imagine that going over well; barely anyone was interested in Desmond anyway.
@The librarian
I was meh on Desmond. Assassins Creed is like .Hack to me and IMO real world stuff should be simply the hacking and eavesdropping schtick from AC IV Black Flag. Leave the real world combat shit to be in comics like Assassins Creed Brahman. All I'd like Unity to incorporate is to have option where the analyst is referred to a he or a she.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenOh joy.
This is actually pretty disappointing to me. In a series as story-heavy as AC, an AFGNCAAP just does not fit in. It's like naming your character in a voiced game. It's pointless, because people have to go out of their way to never use your name. When it's supposed to be yourself, the physical person sitting on the couch with the controller in you hand, it becomes so non-specific that it's distracting.
I like it. I don't want them to drop the AFGNCAAP after just one game, even if it disappoints some people who want a more strongly characterized protagonist. Given all the complaints about Desmond...
