Our Siege Of Vienna page describes and tropes up the 1683 siege and battle, conventionally known as the Battle of Vienna. The name Siege of Vienna is usually used for the siege of 1529.

The page has the minimum of three examples. The Historical Fantasy novel The Drawing of the Dark and "The Shadow of the Vulture" by Robert E Howard are set in 1529, while the example from The Baroque Cycle accurately fits the 1683 page description.

How should we handle this? Re-title it "Sieges of Vienna", and a description of the 1529 siege, and split examples into 1529 and 1683?

Wait, how did you set this up? You messed up the tag, it should be run together the same way you would a pothole. Is it Siege Of Vienna or UsefulNotes.Siege Of Vienna?

I could see soft-splitting the page between timeperiods, which would allow you to have a section for tropes that apply to both. I guess it depends on whether there is enough data from both timeperiods to justify it.

umm.

Do we really need this? I mean. No Such Thing As Notability, okay, but do we really need a Useful Notes for -two separate wars- which, between the two of them, can only drum up -three- examples of use as a period setting?

Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
