Mario's not the only Wonder here.
Trials of Mana, and it ain't even close. After climbing the mountain area for a bit, you can clearly see the horizon's curvature over a clear ocean expanse. Don't even get me started on the Dark Castle's reflective floors either!
This, coming from the SNES... just absolutely unreal for the time. The remake also renders these effects beautifully.
