I concur, this needs a rename. "Loser" does not mean "getting less dates than the rest of the cast".
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I'm less concerned with that and more concerned with obvious misuse. I'm seriously waiting for someone to put The Woobie up for rename because they think it's nonindicative— without providing a single shred of proof of misuse, of course.

Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.Sort-of bump for discussion: No other thoughts?
Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.I'm pro-rename of sorts. It doesn't work as is.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickSupport. As post 2 points out, having "loser" mean "not dating" has some Unfortunate Implications.
I made a single proposition rename crowner here.

The Blog The ArtNine yeas, zero nays, it's been a month. Do we have a go on rename? If so, I'm going to suggest Dateless Wonder, as it's a term in use outside the wiki related to this trope. If anyone else has suggestions, chime in.

Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.Alright, I think it is fine to make an alternative titles crowner so there is now one of those here. Feel free to edit and add options as you wish.
I do think that names which have something to do with the dating part are probably the clearest ones for this trope though.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Consensus seems to be to redirect to Hollywood Dateless but the vote totals are low.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickLoser Guy is now a redirect for Hollywood Dateless, its quotes page is on the cutlist, and I sent a report to move the archived discussion page.
Many of the examples for Loser Guy did not seem to me to fit the trope Hollywood Dateless since most of them just talked about a guy who is a loser. As a result, I mainly switched those into being examples for Loser Protagonist or a similar trope depending on the context. I am not sure I did a great job moving those examples to the appropriate trope though, so it would definitely be nice if someone would check my work here.

Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
This came up in another discussion: several people here (and several articles I've found) are using Loser Guy to indicate a guy who is a loser. Problem is, that's NOT what this article is about at all: It's about a character who dates significantly less than other characters on the show.
Take Well, Excuse Me, Princess! for example, the entire description (and Laconic AND Playing With pages) talks about how a character's GIRLFRIEND calls him out on being a Loser Guy... which makes absolutely no sense at all. Al Bundy has a 'compare to' link to Loser Guy even though it's not really related to that trope: closer would be This Loser Is You.
I've also found a LOT of the wicks are from blank pages, either a bug of some sort or the wiki not caught up to itself, making the trope look healthier than it actually is.
This clearly needs a rename, maybe to something like Dateless Wonder? Anyways, discuss.
