@Hydronix: Guide Dang Its in RPGs aren't too bad considering the kind of game they are. In platformers, though, like I mentioned earlier, it's even worse since they're supposed to be more straightforward than most genres of games.

Platformers are only straightforward if it's left-to-right scrolling, and not even. See the Sonic series.

I really don't believe that applies to the Mario games, though.

As for the RPG's, well, that's no surprise when the current 7 of them all have Guide Dang It! moments. Albeit, some are worse than others. Super Mario RPG is a big one.

I went all through BIS and Super Paper Mario without incidence. Where are the Guide Dang It! moments?

• Guide Dang It: Finding the Atomic Boo. Remember the church full of Boos clinging to you and sending you back to the entrance? You can send them flying with a Spin Attack. Do so until the boss shows up.

Now, my personal one was figuring out how to open up a passage during Super Paper Mario's... 3rd stage, I think. Or it was TYD. Anyway, you had to go around a rock clockwise and counterclockwise a certain amount of times. I could not figure out the hints at all.

It seems the fanbase does not agree that "everything is easily noticeable". Also, keep in mind some people can figure it out on their own. It's the "majority" that cannot. It's not really YMMV, but a lot of those are given poor information or otherwise.

This example doesn't count. It's more of a unintentional hint that you don't even need. Removing that from the page.

Are you talking about that Yoshi rock in Chapter 5 of SPM? I can't remember any instance where you had to circle a rock in TTYD.

Yes, that one from SPM. It's hard to remember which. The worlds kind of had similarities.

You could go into a "World with a town" in each, so it's an easy mistake to make.

Uhh, wasn't there a Crag-vision telling you to go around a Yoshi Rock? You had to do it like once I think.

I did ask. The information I just couldn't figure out at all.

It's been a while, but I couldn't really "find" the information outside of Game FA Qs. There's a reason I called it a "personal" Guide Dang It!. Not everybody can find everything.

Some information is poorly given, etc. This is normal, really.

Ask? No no, those stone televisions that show you how to get the tablets. I was talking about those.

I never figured that out. Hence, personal Guide Dang It!.

Anyway, speaking of Hacks, I've only played Ninja Mario so far. Never any other one. Any good non-cheap(as in kill you easily) ones that I could look up/watch? I'm bored.

I didn't even know about Atomic Boo until I got a Tips and Tricks explaining all about it!

I found Atomic Boo from the start because all the Boos swarming around was similar to all those Dull Bones swarming around at Hooktail Castle.

I had no idea about the existence of the Atomic Boo until later. The only clue I had, was the fact that Boos had a Tattle Log entry that said they were in the Creepy Steeple, thanks to The Pit of 100 trials.

There will be two versions of this game.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star Fire Flower Version, or Paper Mario: Sticker Star Green Shell Version, anyone?

Why not Fire Flower Version & Ice Flower Version?

Or Green Shell Version and Red Shell Version.

Later down the line, Blue Shell Version, and it'll be the hardest version of all.

PMSS looks like it's on it's way to become an odd little entry in the franchise. In a good way of course.

Although if we are talking about weirdo Mario games, nothing beats Pinball Land .

Yeah, I kinda saw that game as Super Mario 64 on a pinball table!

Also, there's another Sticker Star trailer where Mario summons a realistic-looking goat to chomp on some enemies in battle.

Eh, saw the new gameplay footage of Sticker Star. I really think I might be skipping out, nothing's about the gameplay is really grabbing my attention.

Ah, Pinball Land. One of the few Mario games I actually regretted purchasing when I was a naive Nintendo fanboy. Mainly cause the game was so frustrating to play, and that Mario wouldn't go where I wanted him to half the time.

@Diurnal Brocolli: What trailer are you talking about?

Hm, Sticker Star isn't looking that different from the first 2 games. Guess we'll find out.

So what do you think is the hardest 2D game besides The Lost Levels? Hardest 3d game? Hardest RPG?
