I like the music. Silly and upbeat without being annoying.
Wish they would've applied a similar philosophy to the boss themes. I'm not a fan of that weird nasally synth sound. It's the one thing Galaxy introduced to the series I wish they would get rid of.
That looks nice and tough, though I'm still not a fan of losing coins upon death.
That I'm fine with. Could potentially make the punishment for death actually meaningful.
I prefer putting you back a ways or having you start the level again, but maybe I'm just old-fashioned.
I'm still wondering if Peach and Pauline will actually interact, since this is the first game they're both in. Frankly acknowledging Pauline at all is more continuity than this franchise usually does.
Dying always made you lose coins though...
Now that's the only thing it does...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Man, with Rayman, Sonic and now Mario, it seems like platformers are just forgoing the concept of 'lives' entirely nowadays.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectSonic Mania still uses a traditional life and game over formula, though. Or do you mean Forces?
Yes, that's what I meant.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectLives are kind of an artifact of the days of progress-resetting game overs, so it's an understandable omission. Nowadays all they can really do is reset your world/checkpoint progress, which is more annoying than anything in today's slower-paced gaming environment.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! It's been that way since save files were introduced, 25-30 years ago.
Exactly, that's a game lengthening punishment.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Personally, I like that approach to death in games. Taking away stuff you have bothers me, like how Borderlands takes away 10% of your money, or how Minecraft takes away your items. But punishing death with sending you back a bit doesn't bother me. Provided it doesn't send you way back, it just feels like it gives you a chance to try again and do better, without feeling like you've actively lost anything. Plus, it makes the game longer without making it less fun, which is always a plus in my book.

At least here the coins have an alternative point for the collector types.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThat video got taken down, looks like. I'm guessing it showed the portrait of Peach's Castle?
Looks like Isle Delfino will at least be getting a cameo, if not an actual Kingdom.
Although, considering it's closeness to the Mushroom Kingdom, Isle Delfino will probably be apart of it.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Someone in the replies also said that there's some islands on the east of that worldmap that look like the Super Mario World area (Dinosaur Land) rotated, and I can't really see it.
I still can't get over how amazing Jump Up, Super Star is.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I doubt the closeness of the Mushroom Kingdom and Isle Delfino means they have to be part of each other. Look at how close Cap Kingdom is to Cascade Kingdom.
I'm curious if Mushroom Kingdom and Isle Delfino are going to be full blown nostalgia levels or contain new level design inspired by their respective games. I think I'd prefer the latter. I'm not as excited at the prospect of returning to a level I played ad nauseam years ago as most people seem to be. It might be neat to hear the Peach's Castle theme and the Delfino Plaza theme with live instrumentation, though. Who knows, maybe we'll get a new version of Sunshine's acappella Super Mario Bros. theme sung by an actual acappella group.
What fucking doesn't crash Paper Mario?
I sure said that!Killing Bowser with a Pebble?

Ooh, that is some HD Unagi.
Makes me make the face in my current avatar.
