Again, though, Sunshine captures every single unique aspect of a tourist trap perfectly while designing great levels around them.
Bianco Hills is a historical riverside village.
Ricco Harbor is a port and market where the tourists buy food.
Gelato Beach is a sunshiny beach where you can relax and play in the sand.
Pinna Park is an amusement park.
Sirena Beach is a romantic beach at sunset with a hotel.
Noki Bay is ancient ruins.
Pianta Village is another historical village. This one is just more vertical.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Again, though, I said a sequel could have even more...
And the real world doesn't have enough for a sequel...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Why do we need a direct sequel to Sunshine, though?
Odyssey already does enough with it being a return to the exploration formula, yet executes it differently.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.We don't, I was embracing someone else' idea for a Sunshine sequel...because I would never even suggest such a thing.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I don't like Mario 64 and Sunshine as much as most people seem to. I played Banjo-Kazooie before playing Mario 64, which made the latter seem less than impressive in comparison, and as for Sunshine... Well, I don't actually like anything about it, except maybe the graphics. Let's leave it at that.
On the other hand, I could gush about Galaxy for hours. It felt like the first real Mario game I'd played since (at least) World.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Personally, I still like Super Mario 64 despite the terrible instances of Camera Screw in it. It might be because it was my first Mario game.
And I don't hate Super Mario Sunshine as much as some people do, but it's a stepdown from Super Mario 64 and doesn't compare to Galaxy.
"Thanks for the lesson. But I don't need you to tell me who I am."I haven't played Sunshine to know for sure what I think of it, but I do really like 64, and freaking love the Galaxy games and 3D World.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."I absolutely loathed 64's camera, although I played Sunshine first.
3D World is definitely the most underrated Mario game ever. I seriously love it. If it didn't have a timer (I don't like timers), it'd be perfect.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?It took Lakitu a while to get used to the new job, yeah.
I sure said that!I feel like Super Mario 64's camera problems are a bit blown out of proportion. It gets screwy a few times, especially if you're trying to get onto the roof of Big Boo's Haunt, but I don't recall having too many difficulties with it.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The camera takes a lot of flak in both 64 and Sunshine, and while I'm not a big fan of either game, the camera was rarely (if ever) the issue.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?... Sunshine had a perfectly fine camera, though.
Analog camera controls and all that.
I sure said that!Sunshine fixed the whole camera issue by having a "center the camera" button. For that matter, the DS remake of 64 did the same.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. The backlash against Galaxy isn't too surprising. Fandoms tend to run on the idea that for something to be good, something else has to be terrible.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Knowing when to switch between manual and automatic camera fixes all 64's camera problems...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.You mean between "Lakitu head" camera and "Mario head" camera? I almost always switched to Mario head camera then zoomed out when playing OG 64.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Yes, that is what I mean.
But we know what they represent, there's no reason to not use the actual terms.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.@ Pulse: The problem is that the camera automatically swings around behind Mario whenever you use the Hover Nozzle... except when it doesn't. So you often find yourself taking a second or two to reorient yourself whenever you start hovering, meaning you may not have enough time to get to where you wanted to go (such as the other side of a bottomless pit).
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Pannenkoek continues to make Mario 64 his bitch.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I've never really experienced that problem unless I'm pulling some kind of stunt to get up somewhere I can only barely reach with Hover. What I would consider fairly standard paths never did that for me.
I sure said that!"is it just me or are people actually starting to turn against Galaxy for being linear now that Odyssey was announced?"
Since this phenomenom has been present with every fandom, I'm far from surprised.
It's rather sad, if you ask me. Unless you happen to have hated Galaxy all along, this habit of trashing a game most people used to enjoy just to enlighten an upcoming promising game is just jarring. Even to this day, I rank Galaxy my second-favorite 3D platformer (behind only Banjo-Kazooie), and yet it doesn't dictate how excited I am towards Odyssey.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300At least the music reminds Randomness of Sonic Advance 3, because that is over complicated nothingness...
For reals.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Basically. I am looking forward to Odyssey and thoroughly enjoyed the Galaxy games.
There's deserts on tropical islands if we're talking Pokemon Sun and Moon though...
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!
