Good writing for the most part, Huey is what Kersti should have been as a character in the first place, the Toad overload is still annoying, and the combat still sucks.
It's basically Sticker Star with most of the garbage removed. It's pretty fun, just don't go in expecting Thousand Year Door 2.
I sure said that!I miss The Thousand Year Door.
I miss my stage.
Oh really when? The game's greatest strengths are its settings, dialogue, and humor. Its greatest weakness is the combat, but (as has been pointed out) there is a prize for battling beyond mere coins this time. If that sounds good to you, you'll probably enjoy the game. I did.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Super Mario Run is out. Anyone played it yet?
I've played the first world and tried out Toad Rally. It's definitely got the feel of a Mario game, despite the endless runner look.

Color Splash? Very enjoyable. I still say combat is needless with this new direction they're going in, but it's not bad, and the interesting set pieces and stories make the game worthwhile.

What are you reacting to, exactly?
I mean, combat mixes things up a little and it's pretty fun thanks to the consumable-based system encouraging the use of multiple types of moves in a battle instead of Fire Driving everything forever. Enemies in Color Splash also don't overstay their welcome on average- Combat almost always lasts one or two turns.
I'm not a fan of the mandatory Thing card uses in boss fights but at least there's the weirdo in the trash can to give you some degree of info on what you're gonna need and there's at least some contextual clues more often than not.

I sure said that!I do not care what his intentions were, Miyamoto has ruined Paper Mario. This is several years late admittedly.
It's just that the person before you was saying "this game is pretty good actually" and then you went "OH GOD WHY"
It took me an embarrassingly long time to find the ice pick and bottle opener Things. I walked right past them the first time I played the Golden Coliseum, not realizing they were Things and not just set dressing. I made it all the way to Red Pepper Volcano without the bottle opener and was genuinely stumped about how to proceed.
Also, that the tiny Toad that "needs to eat vegetables" to grow doesn't respond to the turnip Thing is nothing short of poppycock.
Oh! And for those of you thinking about getting the game? There's an unpainted jigsaw-shaped splotch in Plum Park that seems impossible to reach. It's going to drive you mad. To paint it, go the left side of the central walkway in the room and use your paint hammer while facing the water. You're fucking welcome.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?It's definitely got its flaws, but I feel like it worked out as far as being a casual RPG. It's not Thousand Year Door 2 but it's not a bad game.
I sure said that!Definitely. Some parts aren't great, but on the whole it's entertaining, and the little stories it tells in each level makes it constantly interesting and surprisingly heartfelt. The story is basic, but the small narratives that play out make the world feel alive.
And I do enjoy the combat, but sometimes it gets in the way.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectSuper Mario Run was downloaded 2.85 million times on the iOS day one, and was the biggest launch on the App Store ever. I guess people still care about Mario a little.
So Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad are all playable, and have distinct gimmicks? I wonder what was so hard about implementing that in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and U.
At least we got the classic lineup back together (plus Rosalina!) in 3D World, and that's in my top three best Mario games.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?They'd actually have to try.
Anyone think they'll add more playable characters to Run at some point?
It'd be cool to be able to play as Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, or even Birdo or Bowser in the game.
"Hey, gimme a minute to get to know everyone, 'kay, Brainy?" "Of course, but please allow me to get a word in, too, bzz."Peach's dress physics...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I'm glad our technology has finally caught up to Peach's dress.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Sometimes simply saying "No, we just don't want to add her, dammit!" is more honest.
This weekend I'll spend my final level slot remaining (#120) in Super Mario Maker to make a nice final level. Nothing overly difficult, just a pat in the back รก la Masterpiece Castle Set or World 9-8.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300There are no planned free or paid content updates for Super Mario Run. I really don't get Nintendo sometimes.
So what is the opinion on Color Splash then?
Cause I miss Paper Mario games something awful
Oh really when?
