Especially when it's not so much "hard" as "cheap". Pit's Body has managed to wall me twice in a row on Normal (the second attempt being with 3/4s of my health left) through little more than simply being a bloody weasel.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyThe appropriate answer to Pit's Body's walling is to get right in his face and stay there (like you have many other choices). Spam Melee Dash Attacks and the second you get close, don't let him get away.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Pit's Body is a horrific enemy to fight, especially for people who really aren't club users. Personally, I shun all melee weapons really unless I'm playing MP (and that's fairly seldom), so I really struggle with the damn Magnus club.
I also still despise fighting Dark Pit in chapter 6, despite the rest of his chapter being quite easy. True, Sniper! Pittoo is a pain, but my claws-using self can get to him okay.
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.I tend to use Melee a lot but also try to maintain a balance between the two. Yeah, Pit's Body is an annoying boss due to the fact that you lack a ranged attack but I don't he's too bad.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I've never had trouble with that boss. Keep in mind just pressing the attack button while locked onto him and reasonably close will make you slide in for an attack with no need for a dash attack.
It always is just combo him, hit him while he's down a few times, start dodging as soon as he gets back up, combo him again, repeat until ded.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Trying the mission again, as it's the one I have the lowest difficulty clear on - 5.5. I just got combo-walled three consecutive times, that on 7.0. I physically could not escape.
I fucking hate having no powers and a godawful weapon. Even among clubs the Magnus is horrific
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.Pit's Body is all about finding a pattern. Sometimes you manage to perfectly time when to hit him, when he gets up, and when he shoots. Other times you're running around like a chicken trying not to die, and whenever you try to attack you miss and he just wails on you until you die. Personally, I avoid the Dash attack in that battle. Way too easy to mess up and give him an opening to hit me.
I never use the dash attack. I get close to him, hit the attack button to slide at him and strike him, and then hit it to continue the combo until he's on the ground. Hit him a few times while he's down, and when he gets back up I just begin flicking the control stick around to dodge the incoming attack. Then once that's done I repeat the process.
If you mess up even once, though, you get punished severely. There's little room for error, but it's easy to avoid said error.
So it's really a sort of all-or-nothing boss. You're either going to win with no damage, or you're going to get thrashed.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! When it comes to bosses, I try to follow a pattern of 'drink after every five bosses', and if that doesn't work, bring Health Recovery 3 and heal a little between drinks before a tough boss.
Also, I am both amused and horrified by the idea of the multiplayer having chat.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'd actually like to see hats.
"i'm like the pimpmaster hustledaddy of all snippy bookshrews" -Dave StriderSome bad fuses have left me with an unfortunate predicament - Overal Defence + 8 is stuck on a Thanatos Staff with the following attributes: 1.5* ranged/melee, Status Res + 1, Shot Range +1, Stamina +3 and Melee dash attack +2. Value: 307
Leaving aside the fact that I was probably drunk when assuming I could use this as fodder, I'm now struggling to get the OD+8 off the staff. My overall goal is to put it on Artillery Claws so I can use it for SP, since they're the weapon I'm best with. But right now, I can't get it on anything, no matter how awful.
Wondering if I even can get it off, since the rubbish abilities always go instead. Maybe something of high enough value could absorb it? Even weapons with few abilities can't take it, as they just get the crap.
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username. If you're looking for high value fodder, try doing a 9.0 run on a stage that you can reliably complete and net plenty of treasures with. Quite a few of the weapons I use in multiplayer I accidentally found while attempting those challenges.
Of course, failing that, you could always just play it safe and move down the list in regards to the OD. It's not like you technically need the maximum boost, anyway.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyYou can get 2-3 weapons each run on Chapter 1, which is very simple, even on 9.0. They'll mostly be basic weapons and Twinbellows Cannons, but that's what fusion is for, right?
I sure said that!I highly recommend Chapter 20 on 9.0 for weapons. The vast majority of them are over 330 value, and even some 340+ ones, and you can easily get 3 or 4 in a single run. A good number of them will also have only ranged stars, which also helps a lot, and the chapter itself is quite easy for 9.0.

:smug:They're impersonating Hades.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Well, I tried Chapter 20 on 9.0 and got a pretty decent Palutena Blade for my trouble. It's still not as useful as my Crusader Blade, though.
Also, here's a fun game! Turn off the music in the volume menu, then go to You Tube and find different battle themes for the bosses. I found the Cave Story last battle theme excellent for Medusa's final form, and Ho-oh's battle theme from HG/SS to be great for the Pheonix.
"i'm like the pimpmaster hustledaddy of all snippy bookshrews" -Dave StriderBecause it's TIME FOR A CHANGE OF PACE!
"i'm like the pimpmaster hustledaddy of all snippy bookshrews" -Dave StriderSeriously, as awesome as both of the songs are, Boss Fight 1 on loop only interrupted by Boss Fight 2 twice can get kind of annoying. Besides, it flexes your creativity muscle.
For True Story works for Dark Pit.
"i'm like the pimpmaster hustledaddy of all snippy bookshrews" -Dave StriderOh, it's for Boss Battles? That's somewhat more understandable, I guess...
For Dark Pit, though, y'know what'd work the best?

I sure said that!
Oh, sorry. I had a lot of trouble figuring that one out, so I thought others might've, too.
But yeah, Boss Battles is really hard.
I sure said that!
