Luigi's Mansion 2

I've always kind of thought of the first game as "Survival horror for kids." Well, and adults, but it probably won't creep them out as much. So I'm all for making the game a little more creepy-creepy instead of just fun-creepy all the time.

I do love fun-creepy, though. Perfect for Halloween!

Ok, so release dates for this game will be in March (24 for USA) 2013 for the english-speaking countries, and Q1 2013 for Japan. Also, the US boxart◊ for the game indicates that it will use Nintendo Network for some feature or other!

Also, I am digging how its official art has evolved. Compare this old E3 artwork◊ to this new artwork◊.

There's supposed to be some interesting 3DS news this week, and this game might be a part of it.

And there's going to be multiplayer as well, apparently. Here's to hoping it builds on that Nintendo Land thing.

I'm hoping they'll spin the Luigi's Mansion games into another subseries.

But who would the other player(s) be? Professor E. Gadd? A bunch of generic Toads? Mario?

As much as I'd like to see E. Gadd doing some agile stuff or Mario in the Player 2 spot for once, I'm putting my money on generic Toads.

Online play is a go, and I guess I was wrong about the player characters.

I laughed when I saw all the Luigis.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon Intro:

I think we all called it that King Boo had something to do with the Dark Moon shattering.

My 3DS had been missing for four months. I saw this game was coming out and felt kind of disappointed I was going to miss it. That very night I find my 3DS buried under some papers and binders and whatnot.

Its a sign of some sort.

Err, this game ain't out yet, though it will be this month.

Hm, I wonder what the final battle will be like this time around...

Apparently, a pirate-themed mansion will show up in this game, and there is some speculation that the final battle will be there, according to the Mario Wiki (last time I checked).

I hope we get a mansion themed around Mario stuff for the game's obligatory reference to retro Mario games.

Dunno, but it seems mighty fine. Also, Giant Bomb has taken a quick look at it, which also sounds promising.

EDIT: Welp! If IGN is not going to be IGNorant, Gamespot certainly will be. A score of 6.5 for difficulty spikes and too few checkpoints, when the rest sounds pretty glowing otherwise.

I miss the fire water and ice, and I miss the old ghosts.

My brother wants this game, but Gamestop was out when he went to get it.

He loves the first one (I've lost track of how many times he's played it), so he'll probably like this one too. Heck, it was one of the main reasons he got a 3DS.

The first Mansion scenes be designed to make you miss having fire

The 2nd makes you miss water.

Will the third make me miss ice?
