How about anything that's been introduced in the last ten years?
It's not over. Not yet.Did you not see the Spartan shank the other Spartan in the back, Reach-style?
Against all tyrants....Besides those. Speculate.
A complete remake of the game.
Use the Reach engine to do it.
Bring back the old VA's to redo the dialogue.
Bring in the old weapons. Have the BR 55 and an MA5 series rifle that doesn't suck.
Have all the new weapons as well. Needle Rifles, Grenade Launcher, etc.
Redo the levels. No using the same level twice.
Bring in some of the stuff from the novel. The ODST's, for instance.
That's just for starters.
It's not over. Not yet. Then all the halo 1 fanboys would have a who can look the most pathetic whining about it contest.
It was stated that the Reach physics engine is being used for multiplayer only. The campaign is only getting the Reach graphics engine. To my great regret.
INTEREST GONE
My reaction: OOOOOOOH! PRETTY! SHINY! DETAILS! OH MAH GAW LOOK AT DA OCEAN! OOOH, LOOK AT DA ELITE! OOOOH! LOOK AT DA GRASS AND SAND! OOOOOH! LOOK DA CHIEF!
I'll buy this game (assuming I can get a job for the summer)
TALOSTALOSTALOSTALOSTALOSTALOSMy only minor gripe is that I wish they'd have fixed his helmet. It looked weird. It still makes him look so out of place compared to the other armors, the Spartans from Reach looked like they had better armor than him.
Hell, they could've just used Reach's Mk.V model.
Sadly, I have to agree with Medicus. The Halo formula has been refined so much over the last ten years. They should have updated it.
I'm still going to buy it.
I have a podcast! I think that you should listen to it.Please no. Halo 1 was the perfect game, all it needs is updated shinies
No it wasn't. Literally every Halo game since then has been a massive improvement in gameplay. Fining the formula and such, better weapons, tighter controls, improved physics.

I have a podcast! I think that you should listen to it.I really enjoy the idea of Halo literally as was, but with a graphical overhaul. Especially since we've had suggestion it's not going to be a full cost title.
Any change to the formulae might make a better game, hell I'm sure they would, but it'd be a different one - and I want the nostalgia kick of playing the game of my childhood again, without suffering through what are now almost painful graphics.
"When you cut your finger, I do not bleed." Response of a man who lived on the outskirts of a concentration camp.Eh, I'd like a few upgrades to it other than graphics. I'm pretty sure they'll give you the ability to use swords and hijack...well maybe not hijack, unless they can keep the banshees from flying low enough to hijack them. Maybe dual-wield.
All that's really needed: Shiny graphics, online play (versus & coop,) maybe throw in some bonus content (levels, etc…). Done, $20.
Dual Wielding is the only thing I would be against adding to Anniversary, as looking back on the feature it was more cumbersome than genuinely helpful in the gameplay. Each weapon you could dual wield was virtually useless on it's own, which is what ODST proved (spiker, mauler and plasma rifle were just inferior to the assault rifle and shotgun, the silenced SMG only moderately more accurate than the assualt rifle). In multi-player it was a nice surprise (coming across someone with two SMG's while you just had the assault rifle) but it limited your ability to throw grenades, which was an ability seperate from your regular weapons.
Vehicle hijacking was just too much fun and having the rocket launcher able to lock on to vehicles was the best upgrade between 1 and 2. Armor abilities would be okay, but story wise there would be a story/gameplay conflict between having something only the chief can use and the stockpile of Spartan weapons the Pillar of Autumn would have.
I do find it funny that they expressly stated that the pistol would remain overpowered. One of the things Reach did perfectly was weapon balance, the only weapon I rarely pick up in Reach is the plasma rifle, but that's mostly due to have preference to the higher rate of fire the plasma repeater had.
agreed. I would say that I just want to play through the original game with better graphics, but really if i wanted that i would just buy Halo 4.
The Blood God's design consultant. So, story WM Gs, anyone?
I'm calling the Forerunners as villains this time. They're pretty well established by now. That, or the Precursors. That, or it's something they made since that thing in the trailer looked robotic.
They had better bring more character development into this one. The Chief hardly has a personality at all, whenever he talks it's just some badass one liner. Cortanna needs a healthy dose of subplot as well, maybe more on sentient A.I.s or them being more common? Someone fixing Rampancy? I don't know. Character development is needed, not to mention new characters.
They have to replace a couple characters...

what is this i don't even
Seriously, though, this looks pretty badass. As long as they don't screw it all up, I have faith. Still, I'm gonna wait for the gameplay on this before I start ripping it to pieces like a sadistic bastard.
"I'm the Avatar! You gotta deal with it!"Someone hasn't kept up with the story.
Just started reading Cryptum here, so careful with the untagged spoilers please.
"When you cut your finger, I do not bleed." Response of a man who lived on the outskirts of a concentration camp.Ugh. Why is is it that I know everything about the story and don't even own the games!

Enough already.
What possible improvements are there to be put in?
