I'm not following your logic for Ceramin Dalmation.
Fight smart, not fair.Neither am I - I don't see how it's better in any way then the current name.
My logic is that it's far more commonly associated with the trope than Flokati Rug is. It's far more readily recognizable even outside the genre. If it's recognizable enough to get Shout Outs, then it's probably the most easily identifiable example of the trope.

You do know that it's been an entire generation since Wheel Of Fortune had purchased prizes, right? :)
I mean, the most recent mention I can think of is that one Family Guy episode, and I doubt a majority of their audience got the joke.
*raises eyebrow* And?
Fight smart, not fair."Ceramic dalmatian" returns 8,000 hits on Google. Combine it with "Wheel of Fortune" and that reduces to less than 1,000.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Ceramic dalmation, however, returns 163,000. With Wheel of Fortune, it's 9510.

'twas brillig.Neither are great, but at least one doesn't look like a made up word.
Meh. Whatever.
Undesirable Prize, perhaps?

I have to admit, Flokati Rug is about dead last in terms of things I'd think of naming a trope after. Especially from Press Your Luck, which I loved back in the day (there is one element from that show that I'd name a trope after, and we already did that).
Undesireable Prize is the only name I can think of that gets the idea across. I went through a couple of other ideas, but those really would work better as an alternate name for a Zonk.
EDIT: It also doesn't help that "Flokati" is easily misspelled due to how seldom it's used... like I did when I first posted this and spelled it "Flotaki."

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Undesirable Prize might be better, with Ceramic Dalmatian as a redirect.
Ceramic what?
Seriously, I've never even remotely heard of that. Then again, I have no idea what a Flokati is either. I agree with renaming.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I created this...and I don't remember exactly why I used the name...but I remember it being a Running Gag on PYL.
Also, if we're talking hits, "Flokati Rug" alone brings half a million Google hits...though pairing it with "Press Your Luck" drops it under 1,000.
But yeah, if Undesirable Prize is better, I'd change it. Maybe change Zonk to Booby Prize and Whammy to Prize Stealer, while we're at it...
(Those last two were just jokes...although I decided to redirect Booby Prize to Zonk 'cuz it seemed natural...)

So are we gonna rename this or what?
Nobody's disputed, and apparently nobody can be arsed to do it themselves, so I'm moving to Undesirable Prize.
Flokati Rug — Needs a more specific rename. The trope is about Game Show prizes that have a reputation for no one wanting to win them, but even as a game show fan, I think the name is a bit obscure.
I would suggest Ceramic Dalmatian because it has meaning even to non-fans. If you say Wheel Of Fortune and "prize" in the same sentence, I pretty much guarantee even the most diehard non-fan would say something about a ceramic dalmatian. Heck, it's the first example on the list, and underneath is a rather long list of other works that have referenced the ceramic dalmatian in some way. Clearly, it's a far more iconic example of this trope than the Flokati rugs on Press Your Luck.
