My reaction to his name in tittle: "Did he change his name after character in VII or were his parents Jehovah's witnesses?"
it looks so much fun to slide along the dunes like that.

i. hear. a. sound. His take on co op certainly is interesting.
Looks great.
There's a person named Jenova?
He was originally named Chén Xīnghàn. Apparently he named himself for the Final Fantasy VII character because he wanted an English name, but one that would be unique
Interesting. Although I'd hesitate to describe Jenova as a "character" in Final Fantasy VII.
I skimmed the video, but..........what's the mission or objective? They appear to just be running through a desert jumping and making noises...
Granted it's a really nice game, but I'm still curious.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Your on a mission to get to that glowing tower, but that's only the beginning. The real game is exploring the immense desert and finding old relics. Sliding along those dunes and finding a partner to skate across the sky with.

edit: oh, and the prize is $14.99.

It's out a week early for Play Station Plus subscribers, and everyone else can pre-order it. Either way buying it this week gets you a free dynamic theme, so go go go now!
I just finished my first playthrough of it and am gonna start a page for it now. Be wary, spoilers will abound.
Somehow you know that the time is right. For the first time, I wish I subscribed to Playstation Plus.
Page is up, if anyone wants to revise/add to it.
Somehow you know that the time is right.I started reading the YMMV page and then I got very confused. Until I remembered all the puns and mash-ups that've been made this last week. "Just a small town girl..." -_-"
The YMMV page is actually for the band...
Somehow you know that the time is right.... I was too vague, apparently. I got that bit, that was kinda my point. Sorry.

Since I still had a code for a free month of PSN lying around, I decided to load it up and give it a shot on Tuesday.
Absolutely amazing. Hard to recommend to someone on a budget, as it is a short game. But it's time and money well spent, in my opinion.
My first playthrough in the game was spent with the same person the whole way through, and I think that's the best way to experience the game. It makes the climax feel that much more impactful if you're experiencing it with someone who you've journeyed with the whole way.
Hmm, I was hoping it'd take long enough to finish that you couldn't do it in one sitting. How is it for replay value? No spoilers please, I haven't played it yet. If that means you can't answer my question at all, then that's fine.
Replay pretty much boils down to whether or not you feel like hunting down trophies. There are a couple of bonuses for those with keen eyes and a sense of exploration. One discovery was so neat for me I kept chirping away for my buddy to make sure he found it as well.

I just finished this game, and it was, in a word, beautiful. There isn't really anything that can do it justice.
Not Three Laws compliant.Played it this afternoon, in one sitting, most of it with the same person I met about a third of the way in. Just fantastic.
I haven't been so afraid of a videogame enemy as I was of those serpents since Dead Space 2. The first one frightened the life out of me, I had no idea there were enemies in the game at all. The very last section in the snow, that was almost heartbreaking, but then it was followed by the freedom and joy of what happened afterwards. I was actually shouting at my fellow wanderer during the mountain stage. I knew a serpent was coming, or was likely to come, so I hid, but he kept walking about. I really didn't want him to get hurt.
Definitely going to play through again, to get the hidden stuff, and probably just for the experience again, although it will never be as good as the first time.

During the first "slalom"-stage? That. Sand!
Met two fellow sentient burkas during my Journey, the first one quit/died when the wind started blowing, but we were together for the entire game until then. Shared a collective heartattack when that sandsnake appeared and started snacking on our scarves. Met the second one not long after, but we lost track of each other during that crazy last stage, and apparently I met a third one that I never even saw...
Thanks for the shared journey, hyperrabbit, shawdad and AndrewCD, whoever you are (Which, really neat feature, by the way)

I somehow managed to meet twelve different people. I thought it was the same person the whole time.
Not Three Laws compliant.I was a tad apprehensive of the whole multiplayer-aspect, to be quite honest, but turns out it doesn't really change anything, just enhances the whole experience. I only wish there would there would be some clearer way of communicating THIS IS SO FUCKING AWESOME when appropriate. Which was often.
That, and I was worried that any potential travel-mate would inevitably tire of me constantly wanting to check if I got everything (yes, I'm one of those), but luckily there wasn't that much to collect, and what there was was usually in our way anyway.
