Wait, what's this about steampunk Metal Gear REX?
Steampunk Metal Gear spin-off, now that I'd forgive Konami for. Not really, but I'd buy it.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Steel Cog Engine, anyone?

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I still wanna get V now that I have a PS 3. But the only one's they have available are the Day One editions, at R 650. Way too rich for my blood for extra stuff I don't want to use.

It's an early Christmas miracle!
TL;DR: Brojima's getting himself a new studio! And he'll have an unspecified number of guys from KojiPro! Good bye and good riddance Konami!
OH YEAH! FUCKONAMI!
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.good. sony would be wise to secure a partnership with him and maybe even bring him in as a first party dev. he's has a good relationship with them for a while, and he'll bring them money.
I want to hope that some part of his new studio will have some reference to Metal Gear or some other thing he did, kinda like how the studio making The Last Guardian has their logo be a reference to ICO.
EDIT: I mean, look at the logo in the picture. Doesn't that remind you guys of ICO?

What are the chances that at some point in the near or distant future, Konami may lose their hold on the Kojima-made IPs to Kojima's new company?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Ehhh... Bungie tried to do this with Destiny, didn't they?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Um...I don't know? :/
I think Soble means how the Destiny logo resembles Bungie's Septagon logo thing.

Um, no I meant more about how, you know how the GenDESIGN logo would most likely make people remember ICO? (Which was made by the guys who are doing The Last Guardian.)
I was wondering if anything about Kojima's new studio will have the same effect, like how the logo would remind people of Metal Gear or something, if that makes sense.
EDIT: Here's GenDESIGN's logo. Doesn't that remind you guys of ICO?◊

Vaguely, yes.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyThe chances of Kojima ever having direct control of any Konami franchise is very slim. Brand names can cost millions of dollars to purchase, and many of Konami's titles have a respectable amount of renown. Thus his best chance for ever creating another MGS title again would be if another major publisher bought the rights and let him develop in their behalf.

Konami would sooner doom Big Boss to an eternity of pachinko than let Kojima have him back.
It would be cool if Nintendo managed to snag the franchise if only because then we could have a Metal Gear game collaborated between Kojima and Sakurai.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Sakurai is an independent contractor. All of his games for Nintendo have him forming teams for the express purpose of making them. He could work with Kojima if he wanted.
Metal Gear would be much better served in Sony's hands than Nintendo's.
True. Nintendo likes to try and make things exclusive in certain ways to benefit themselves. That would mean that the next MGS might end up being technologically restricted by the Wii U or whatever console Nintendo is planning next - not a good thing, even despite how Kojima managed to give the exact same performance for MGSV on both the PS 3 and PS 4.
I'm going to assume that the PS 4 version runs identically to the Xbone version, which my friend has and is the only eighth gen console version I've seen.
The PS 3 version can do everything the current gen games can, but it doesn't run nearly as smoothly. The framerate or something is not great, everything feels jaggy and bumpy in comparison.
It's not a dealbreaker, I have 200 hours racked up on the PS 3 version. But there's definitely a step down in quality, at least in how smoothly the game runs.
Plus, I don't think there's been a poorly optimized Wii U title to date, even from third party games. I don't know for sure, but I've heard nothing but good things about how well the Wii U runs games. Kojima could kick ass on a nintendo console.

Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down. The problem is how the Wii U's weaker system specs discourage AAA developers from wanting to make ports of their games. Notice how most FPS and Assassin's Creed games tend to skip the Nintendo consoles?
Kojima Productions is dead. Long live Kojima Productions!
Hmm. The skull in that new logo really reminds me of the skull from the Outer Heaven (or Haven) logo. Heh, I'll just say I called it.
I also called this.
Apparently they're looking for people with Unreal and Unity experience, so. I guess the FOX Engine is dead.

Ocelot is very gay for Big Boss.
