Well, Cygan was wondering why there wasn't one, so I made it. I guess we can talk about queer stuff. :3

Oh, and if you're wondering, non-queer folks are welcome too.

I'm trying to decide how to help someone who I don't think wants to talk to me.
Leave a message that's hard to get rid of so they'd pretty much have to look at it before they ignore it.
Hey, guys! This is my first time posting in this conversation and I have a concern. I'm reading Horns by Joe Hill right now, and I was really loving it until I read the following passage:
"The thought crossed his mind that Lee might be about to offer a hand job, and if that were to happen—a terrible, diseased thing to contemplate—then Ig would tell him he had nothing against gay people, he just wasn't one himself."
As a bisexual, referring to a homosexual experience as "a terrible, diseased thing to contemplate" made me extremely uncomfortable and I'm considering dropping the book. I know that a lot of characters express some very controversial thoughts, but in that case I understand that it's the nature of the story. What I'm wondering is if any of you have read Horns and can tell me if the narrative itself continues to be homophobic throughout the novel? Thanks for your help.
Don't the horns influence the people around him? Like, I'm vaguely aware that they make people act out their dark desires(I've not read the book but am pretty interested in the movie), but since I think a doctor would not actually snort oxycotton without their influence... perhaps he's worried that the offer would be due to the horns influence, and the diseased though is that he's effectively mind-controlling someone into sex? Or maybe it's just a way of showing that the character is becoming worse over time?
I dunno. Haven't r4ead it, like I said, but I certainly hope it's not a homophobic book, since I do really wanna see the movie.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Yes, but this takes place during a flashback scene.
My thoughts exactly, friend.
Hey, its a new person!
Hello, new person!
I assume you've already sold your soul to the devil and started indoctrinating children. If so, then you are welcome here.
Of course. I begin every morning with leading young innocents down the road of temptation. I thank you for the welcome.
Your sacrifice of innocents is much appreciated.
Remember, if you corrupt 15 young minds by November, you get a 15% off discount at all stores in San Francisco.
And if you manage to convert 100 girls into witches to join our Lesbian Coven, you can enjoy the pleasures of £1000 store vouchers for use in Brighton, England.
"Did you expect somebody else?"But Rae herself won't be there so just go for the San Fransico deal.
Hrm.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Aces are acceptable as well, I presume?
I have a lot of problems and you are the cause of most of them. There are heterosexual posters in this thread, there is no exclusion here.
Glad to know. I've seen this strange concept going around that asexuality is considered "threatening" to people? I don't understand this idea, and I was wondering if someone knows where it came from?
I have a lot of problems and you are the cause of most of them.Because anything unusual gets that, which asexuality is in the same way homosexuality, bisexuality and pansexuality are.
"Did you expect somebody else?"@Birdy, some people are just threatened by things or ideas they do not understand. Some people react aggressively even towards those things.
Also, welcome to the new peoples.
Devypu's~ Big Pony :3There are new people? Hi new people
I'm so tempted to post the video of my friend Chloe's recent response to the harassment that comes from Gamergate, but it involves her blazing weed, so I guess posting is verboten .

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. Is it? We have a thread where people talk about using drugs that's allowed. (unless it was nuked) I doubt a video would cause much fuss.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I think the drugs thread got nuked months ago.

#GamerGate is itself considered a verboten subject on this site. There's just too much drama associated with it on both sides to be worth dealing with.

We can't really say whether its a good or bad depiction until it comes out, though I'm a bit apprehensive going in. Yeah, they want to show a trans person going through their transition, but that doesn't mean they couldn't cast a trans actress.
