I support. It's not uncommon for someone to make one little mistake and then go back just to edit it.
Think we had a thread about this awhile ago, like sometime last year, where we were told "It's on the list". So... here's hopin'?
They lost me. Forgot me. Made you from parts of me. If you're the One, my father's son, what am I supposed to be?If it is, I couldn't find it in a search. But I guess it's worth being brought up again for discussion.
Hyperforce Go! http://vmkid.me/There was a thread at some point in the past. I guess part of the concerns were server load for previewing the posts and the fact that, unlike the wiki where postediting will leave unuseful history trails, forum previewing doesn't really serve a purpose and it's quite easy to go and edit what you just posted. I am pretty sure it is just low-tier on the list, but still present; but don't quote me on that.

Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Something like this would be great.
A preview button would be helpful.
Thirding. I get a lot of redlinks because I worded the right trope wrong, or misspelled a word from another language. Sometimes, I actually link to the wrong trope on purpose so I can try to find the right one.
Ponders too much; thinks too little. Currently goes by Knowlessman. If you fear that you can get a pothole or some usual syntax wrong, you can test it in the forum sandbox (that's what it's for) or by editing your troperpage and then discarding the changes...
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?I think a preview button would be especially handy for Private Messages. Unlike posts, those can't be edited once you send them.
somethingAgreed. Especially in the case of PM's.
Reaction Image RepositoryAtleast for PM's.
You can edit your regular messages easily. That's not as big of a deal outside of really fast topics like Roleplays or the Yack Fest. And the latter isn't a big deal either.
Quest 64 threadAlso agreeing.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Oh, yes, I would love this for PMs and forum posts. Definitely useful. I understand why it wouldn't be super-important, though...
I am now known as Flyboy. It would be super-helpful for when you're writing a really long pm, and you risk missing some typos.
somethingI also support, it would also be helpful for YKTT Ws.
Here's another voice in support of a forum preview button.
Panhandling sign glued to hands. Need $5 for solvent.Count me in. People would be really benefitted from this function.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I'm in. A preview button would be a great addition to the forum.
Agreed. (Whoops, shoulda seen this the first time.)
I also support this. :D
Forums I don't really care that much about, but a preview button for PMs and Hollers would be much appreciated. It's embarrassing when you send someone a PM, type out [ smile ]*, and expect an emoticon to show up like they do in replies.

I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Yeah, this will be far more useful for PMs since those can't be edited once sent.
somethingI already chimed in before, but I'll say it again:

"Shit, our candidate is a psychopath. Better replace him with Newt Gingrich."
Something I've noticed is that I will often screw up a forum post and scramble to edit it to fix what I screwed up. In these cases, it gets annoying not having a "preview" button. Just like we have one on the wiki, I think there should be one here.
