For me those two are probably the worst ever songs to make top-10, at least in the time I've been following Eurovision (since the late 90s.)
I know that I'm in the minority with this, though.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Dana International, ABBA and Conchita Wurst would be the ones I would go for in this particular little argument.
Worst or best?
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Best, or at least most impactful.
Allow me to put in a second vote for Marie Myriam (courtesy link) as the best Eurovision winner. My fave ESC song would be Austria’s tune from 1972 (from the folk group Milestones, courtesy link). So pretty and so...un-Eurovision.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!I've probably said this before but despite the fact I simply hate about 95% of all ballads in the Eurovision I just can't deny the brilliance of Myriam's winner. It has to be the most beautiful song ever submitted to the contest, and at least very close to the best.
I'm still not sure if I prefer Finland's winner, though. Winning with hard rock was amazing.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur. When it gets to the point where the orchestra drops out and you’re left with that verse where it’s just her voice and a bass drum, that’s when you know the juries said, “This is the winner!”
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!Well guys, it's that time of the year again.
Personally, I'm pretty bummed that we (Spain) finally decided to sell out and sing a fully English-language song. Plus things are not looking good in the rehearsals. How about you, guys?

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."So how many of the WARPAC states are we expecting to throw 12s at Russia this year?
"Yup. That tasted purple."It has begun.
It's Czech Republic's turn now. Belgium has sung already.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."We are not commenting this year?
The Hungarian background performers sure are a thing.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Australia is singing right now.
Come on, guys...

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Just tuned in, I find Australia's song quite repetitive...
Uhhh Cyprus song's camera is nauseating The vocals lack power.

I kind of liked Cyprus. It was different, that's for sure.
What does the Serbian chick have in her hair?
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."I'm not quite paying attention to it (football stuff going on), but yeah, that hair looks a bit odd.
What looks like a dozen hair clips... or shoe blacking...
Like the song, but if they wanted to do that stage act they should've ditched the standing mic.
Oh great... a freaking Bieber clone.

There's a stray member of 1D on the scene.

Holy shit that dress. It's so large and unwieldy she can barely move.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."What the Hell, Costuming Department? Up To Eleven
Edit: That aside i really don't like her voice.

I liked Czech Republic, too. I personally love the ballads and duets. As for my favourite winner, I think Serbia and Norway 2009 are the best
I prefer books to people.
