Has anyone here read City of Dead Sorcerer? I read it a months and a half ago and enjoyed it a lot.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobYup!
I read through like 30 chapters and stopped reading, for reasons I can't remember. It wasn't because it was bad or anything, though.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Apparently there are now Noblesse ads on You Tube (yes really), so...I guess it's made it big?
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)NO WAY!
Link to said ad?
Any other webtoon ads you have seen?
Herald of the Literature Sub-Forum. Share me your favourite book/series/author!There is something I don't understand. How does those artists live of what they do? I have desactivated adblock on webtoon and still can't see any ad.
In Korea, webtoons have viewer counts.
Every few months or years, the artists/writers renew their contract with webtoon hosting sites, such as Naver and Daum. How much they get paid depends on the view counts.
Apparently, the most successful webtoon artist in Korea gets paid equivalent of $70,000~80,000 per month.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Thanks, but that just move the problem. How does Naver earn money without ads ?
I've been reading Sidekicks since the author of Sidekick Girl said one of her readers had labeled it a copycat. She set the record straight, saying that the only similarity is an unfair hero/sidekick system. Otherwise, it's very different.
I'm enjoying it. The translations get a little stilted, but it's entertaining.
I like Sidekicks too. The art style is kind of weird though. Does anyone here read Gepetto or Knight Run?
I got all the way caught up with Knight Run, but couldn't keep reading. It's good, but depressingly dark. The author has stated outright that the point is to build a world that no reader would ever want to live in. I still get chills from the fight between Pray and Anne, and the flashback to Anne's birth.
Problem with Knight Run:
- It's obscenely long, with equally obscenely slow pacing.
- Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy kicks in real hard.
In a different note, I'm surprised how popular Smile Brush is. That webcomic is very highly rated, but rather unknown webtoon in Korea. Not that I'm complaining.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Does anyone here read The Dragon Next Door? It's my favorite webtoon ever.
It's about an ordinary guy moving into a new apartment, only to learn that his neighbor is a dragon. Fantasy slice of life ensues.
It has a very pleasant art style, contains a lot of parodies, and amusing characters.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I started reading Witch Hunt on Line. It's actually pretty interesting, but that Gamin brat is annoying. Hopefully, he gets better.
Abide in the Wind is pretty damn good.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Oh for the love of God.
Why is that so many of the popular webtoons nowadays suffer from either Arc Fatigue or Romantic Plot Tumor?
Hell, with Girls of the Wild's, it's both.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. What is that about anyway?
It's about a poor kinda wimpy MC who gets sent to an all-girls high school that specializes in training fighters. Shenanigans ensue. Extrapolate from there.
On a different note I'm reading Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, which is almost as good as the original webnovel. Speaking of which, anyone here read LMS who can point me to some good sites? The one I'm reading it on has a kind of meh translation that has made it really difficult to read later on.

Whoa, shit, that came out as a webtoon/manga/whatever?
Damn.
Then again, considering that's literally the most popular fantasy novel in Korea, it isn't too surprising.

Revive this thread.
So i been reading some Korean Webtoon lately, mainly series about villainess Isekai or female character that got redo. Some that particular catch my interest are:
1. The villainess Lives Twice: Count politic intrigue. MC got betrayed by her tyrant brother whom she help put on the throne. She got saved by the resistance and turn back time to change history.
2. I'll just live as the Villainess: MC got transport to the world in a book as the villainess... right after she committed her crime. She got exiled and use her knowledge of the book to make the best out of her exile. This series doesn't do anything special but the characters are fun.
3. The way to protect the female lead brother: MC got reincarnated in a 18+ novel as the daughter of the main antagonist family. She has to become ruthless and smart in order to survive. She end up helping the female lead's brother whose death starts the plot of the novel and will lead to her own death.
4. Is it Forture or Is it Woe? : MC reincarnated as a minor villain in her favorite novel. Her sister is the Male Lead wife who going to die at birth just to give the Male Lead a tragic backstory. MC try to stop this but end up marries the Male Lead and they fall for each other.
5. A Stepmother Marchen: A stepmother who got horrible reputation which led to her death. She get to Re-do and try to be a better mother to her children. Both sweet and has a lot of political intrigue.
6. I raise Cinderalla Preciously: MC wake up as the stepmother in Cinderella and try her best to take care of all 3 of her children.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieNumber five just had a really sad look back at the original timeline.
Should this be in the manga forum?

Dunno, this does fall into the category of Webcomic.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieDon't know who here reads Tower of God, but it's been confirmed that it would return on May 17, 2021 after an almost year-long hiatus.
she/herAfter finishing the first two parts of kubera I'm a bit surprised it's not more popular. Very intriguing story, though unbelievably depressing. Especially in how it shows unhealthy dynamics and the pain that could come from them.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boys
I am up to chapter 18 of The Gamer. I am thinking about dropping it for a while because I heard that it was just the main character grinding for 40 chapters.
