I find it a little odd that's there's no fan art of Lavan or King Penguin.

Anyone have a favorite villain? I liked the witches and Porcina the Glass Princess.

It wasn't so much that I liked Porcina, but her "Look at Me" song was pretty memorable to me, and I would often repeat some of her lines when playing with a character who was vain (as in, playing with dolls and the vain character would say some of Porcina's lines or sing "look at me, look at me"). This was when I was 9 or 10, though, and as I mentioned in a different post, it wasn't until recently that I realized that the Raptorians were NOT on Porcina's side. I thought they were just singing with her, but then I realized they were actually insulting her and talking about how she "won't be much to look at when we're through." They also mentioned some things about that they were going to have a "new home" so I think they were planning to take over her castle or whatever it was that she lived in.

So those were probably the most memorable villains for me, for some reason or another.

No, they used her powers to turn Ponyland and everything in it into glass, and then go live there. but they wanted her magic cloak, too.

It was kind of vague, but I more got the impression they wanted Porcina to go live in the glass Ponyland and they would live in her old home, because of the way they were wanting to sit in her throne and were cheering about it being their new home. But they could've been wanting to live in the glass Ponyland too, the story wasn't that clear about it. Not sure why they would want to live in a world where everything could break into pointy shards, though, not to mention the lack of food (Porcina turned the crops into glass too). They probably just didn't think that through, or maybe they thought they would use the cloak to turn the ponies back first and then say something like "We'll turn your world back the way it was IF you let us rule you!"

I thought you said "glassed Ponyland" and briefly became excited. :-P

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.

I prefer MLPFIM villains. G1 bad guys doesn't imprese me to much.

Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.

Close enough. XD Only reason the ponies made it through is cause some of them weren't in Ponyland when it happened.

That would also be difficult to live in, unless the Raptorians and/or Porcina are immune to radiation sickness.

Well, the sudden surge in popularity of My Little Pony inspired me to finish that Youtube Poop of Rescue at Midnight Castle I dreamed about years ago. Now with bonus Minty for added amusement!

This may be funnier if you have seen Charlie the Unicorn and/or that episode of Power Rangers where Tigerzord's head falls off.

I think I may have sneaked in a good ten seconds of Friendship is Magic footage too.

About the G3 series, I noticed the "Sweetie Belle's Gumball House Surprise" short mentioned on this site (mostly in the context of people saying that it Tastes Like Diabetes) and was curious. In case anyone hasn't seen it, the title is rather misleading. I had expected it to involve gumballs or bubble gum in some fashion, but instead it's about clue hunting. From what I've seen, the name comes from the title of a playset, but you'd think the story would incorporate bubble gum at some point (maybe those were bubble gum-flavored muffins they were eating at the end?).

Thinking about the G3.5 series made me remember some fan works portraying Rainbow Dash from Friendship Is Magic disliking the Rainbow Dash from the G3 series, and then I thought, what would happen if all the ponies from all the different versions ended up in the same place together? I'm a little surprised I haven't seen any fanfics about that, actually.

I never noticed that the Teen Titans and Turtles theme songs sounded so much alike. Also, when the "Watch out for chedder!" part came at the end I guffawed so hard the mouse slipped and I ended up starting the video over.

Okay, I finally found an online copy of The Princess Promenade—turns out it's available for free on The Hub's official Web site. Three of the 45-minute movies are, in fact, as well as a bunch of the webisodes. Andrea Libman was quickly recognizable as Zipzee, and, yup, that was Tabitha St. Germain in another starring role as Wysteria. Wasn't she a cutie? I wonder if Wysteria was influenced by the G1 cartoon's Posey even before the new Fluttershy. Hmm...

I don't know about G3 Spike, though. I'll give him one more movie, but I can see him turning into the Scrappy-Doo that G1 Spike avoided being. And that would be a shame, because his G3 design looks kinda cool. (I still don't think I care for G4 Spike's big fat head.)

By the way, while browsing Ponibooru, I discovered my favorite screenshot to come out of G3 so far: the Spider-Man kiss.

Oh yeah, and I was reminded of how I used to think the Flutter Ponies were as small as the Breezies, because for a long time we only saw them interact with giant flowers and bee-people, and how was I to know the flowers were giant and the bee-people were the size of people and not the size of bees?

Luckily, Spike only acts all bossy and makes up stupid "princess rules" in that one movie. He doesn't do it in any of the others (so far as I know) and he doesn't even appear in "Minty Christmas." I guess he gave up after Wysteria bent the rules to make everyone a princess and thus make the title meaningless.

No, I'm pretty sure the sun-goddess pony swooped in and said "Screw this, I'm your princess!"

Hate and would hate everything from the older 3 generations if you showed it to me. Don't Bother.

Same goes for Pound Puppies older generations, to sadly go off topic (unless someone can point me to a thread for that mess)...

In Neo Arcadia, there are no politics. Just Law, Order, and judgement. And violence - LOTS OF F***ING VIOLENCE! YAY, VIOLENCE!!!

That got me to thinking lately... These movies might be more interesting if we imagine that Spike was once a horrible tyrant who got Sealed in a Can for what he did, and he's only playing nice until he can rule Ponyland through a weak-willed proxy.

I mean, the guy can terrify everyone just by entering a room. I don't trust that little creep.
