"Well, it's traditional. Of course my mask is usually in better shape, but I'm not usually a pirate. See, in lucha libre...the style of fighting I was raised in...we wear masks to honor our roots, our backgrounds as warriors, and everyone's mask is different. You have to earn it when you've proven yourself capable to stand on your own in a battle. Just like my name, I inherited this mask from my uncle, and it's...it's a great honor to wear it. It's a major part of my identity, of who I am."

Easing back into life one step at a time

"Hmm, I'll think about it" Jim supplied earlier as a response to the questions about their current stock of alcohol. Then he followed the rest of the group into the town, glancing about at the various sights and sounds.

Those who peered into the little window of his suit*

would see a slightly nostalgic expression on Jim's face. "This is my kind of town. Brings back old memories" Jim said; this was true, in a sense. If you put the technology level forward almost a thousand years and made everyone human, then this was almost exactly the kind of place Jim would have hung out at back in his first bout of criminal nature.

"You all stay safe now, this place could have all sorts of trouble. I'm gonna go ask for some information and get some..." Jim trailed off, realising something as his expression changed to one almost akin to horror.*

He reached up, and tried figeting with the small window of his suit again, then pulled at the helmet edges a bit. After these attempts prooved fruitless, he slumped, looking defeated. "Why'd it have to be during this curse that we find a town stocked with booze?" he muttered somewhat glumly to himself.

The pegasus took a few moments to mull this over. "so, it's like a Cutie Mark, but you wear it on your face?" Gross oversimplifications through attempted cultural connection wasn't Dash's specialty, but she was appearently very good at it.

"Uhhhhhhhhh...maybe?" Rey shifted his head to the side slightly. "What's a cutie mark?"

"Well, when a pony learns what their special talent is, like what they want to do with their life or whatever they're really good at, their Cutie Mark appears." Dash shifted

to show Rey the mark on her flank; a cloud and a tricolored lightning bolt.

"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probably

"Oh, that's what that is. I just assumed it was a tattoo of some sort. You seemed like the kind of girl to have a tattoo." Rey nodded slightly. "Yeah...I suppose it's kind of like that."

Once they made it to the wreck itself, Samus had inspected it when Gene and Dante had done so. She had made sure to examine the rotting wood for any odd signs, weather and age had done enough damage to have made these signs irrelevant, though...At least until she saw what Dante was talking about, the damage he had pointed out did look like something had bitten into it. But that would only help so much, other signs would have helped but it seemed like that wasn't going to be the case...

But she stooped poking around the wreck when she went to see what the others were currently looking at, to her surprise there was a very odd looking girl and a smaller wreck not too far from her. Odd, in this case, referring to her eyes...the way they looked was very strange, but for all she knew this girl could have been from a place where such a thing was normal. The rest of the group were talking to her, and she didn't really have anything else to add. So, she would at least stick around to hear what the girl had to say, if they were going to rescue her then there wasn't really a problem with that.

As Kirby flapped his arms and flew around the wreckage, it didn't take long for him to spot the blue-haired girl. Before approaching her, he looked behind him to see Dante, Gene, Samus, and the others heading over. He let them catch up for a moment, and landed next to them as they reached where the girl was stranded.

He smiled and gave a nod to the girl... he thought she seemed pretty amiable, though he couldn't help but take notice of her strange eyes. Intrigued, he stared into them for a moment as Dante and Gene talked to her. His gaze eventually shifted to the coconut in her hand, a hungry look forming on his face.

When Aki asked to go somewhere private, 47 replied "Fine by me. Lead on and I'll follow."

Alice, who had dozed off for the journey and was dreaming of a tea party with the White Rabbit woke up at the shout of 'Land Ho!' She jumped into the air, twirling around and gaining height every few seconds, and landed gracefuly on the bow. She looked at the town and frowened in distaste.

'A most odious place.' Said Alice. 'I have no respect for prostitutes or drunks. None whatsoever. It reminds me of London.'

it was now that Karzahni chose to finally arrive.

His long absence was simply because he had tripped again on some rope on the ship but this time had the luck to fall off the brig and into the water- nobody had seened to notice.

Now he came walking up out of the water, walking not swiming since he was weighed down by his armour but still had the ability to breath underwater.

Like a green sea monster he rose out of the water, and he certainly looked like one.

The fact that he was in a sense a "robot" did not make the situation much better.

The noise and the bustle of life on the docks greeted Hakumen as he followed the rest of the group. After days on the road, the sounds of civilization were a refreshing change of pace from the wilderness they had been in.

The mishmash of architecture and outfits the pirates wore reminded him of Kagutsuchi. Save for the open blue sky above them and the waves churning at the timbers below, it was almost like home.

"Like home." He sighed, looked at the town again. A wave of homesickness stirred inside of him. He ignored it: it was inappropriate. Sentimentality had no place in Extremus.

"Why, hello there, handsome."

Hakumen felt a soft hand touch his arm. Hastily, he withdrew it, turning to face a rather scantily-clad woman. Beneath her long blond hair, Hakumen could see the tips of her pointed ears.

"You seem lonely." The elf girl smiled at Hakumen, entwined her fingers with his. "Looks like you could use some company."

A prostitute? If so, she would be disappointed: Hakumen had neither the desire nor the equipment for such things. "No need. I am fine on my own." He let go of the woman's hand, stepping back a bit. She pouted. "Excuse me."

It took Hakumen only a few seconds to find the rest of the group; they were not exactly far away from him. As he walked towards them, he saw something big and green rising from the water.

"What the hell?!"

"Stealing is a crime and drugs is a crime too BUT if you steal drugs the two crimes cancel out and it’s like basically doing a good."

Karzahni strode onto the beach pausing for only a moment to scan his surroundings.

Fawful's headgear had changed into a typical black pirate hat with a skull and crossbones featuring his own face, and his cloak had changed into a red coat. He now watched the blue-haired girl, grinning as ever.

"And a hello to you, girl of strangeness! Are you new to this land, or do you already have knowing that this is Extremus?"

"GUARDS! SEA MONSTER!" screamed, pointing at Karzahni.

She knew damn well who it was; she just didn't like him.

Pretend there's something clever written here.

Snake followed along with the rest of the group, eyeing the large wrecked ship as they passed. He noticed at about the same time Dante did that it looked like there was a bite mark in the ship, putting him on edge as his eyes darted back to the Boatelweiss. He turned around and followed the group around to the other side.

When he saw someone there he hand to stop himself from pulling out his gun, again. It was a hard habit to break it seemed. For the moment he just hung back and watched the girl in silence. For someone who, by the looks of things crashed, she was oddly calm.

"Captain! Captain!"

"Whaaat? What is it? I thought I told you lugs to scout out the island."

"We did Captain. We saw another boat on the other side of the island, a metal one. They got people on the island too."

"Oh ho? Well then, All the better for us! Gyahahahahaha!"

"What do you mean Captain."

"Think you idiot. I'll take my guys to the ship and mop up the mugs that are on land, while you guys fire at their ship, stopping them from sending anyone else to help out. We'll get the treasure on the crashed ship and the metal one! Two birds with one cannonball. Did all you guys get that?"

"YES CAPTAIN!"

"Alright boys, get ready. And remember to be flashy about it!"

"YEAH CAPTAIN BUGGY!"

Alice, though as disgusted by this place as she was by London, decided it simply would not do to get separated from the group. She dived into the water, swimming to shore. Anyone looking closely would have seen a ghostly turtle shell on her back. Emerging, she jumped again, this time landing with the rest of the group. She pointedly ignored the people in the streets. 'A horrible place. Absolutely no redeeming features. We'd have been better off sailing past it.'

"Do I?" Dash asked Rey before restraining a giggle as Scarlett alerted the guards. She turned to Alice and nudged the girl with her hoof. "Ah, you're no fun. Come on, there's plenty to do here!"

'I'm sorry' said Alice to the pegasus. 'But it reminds me so of London, and terrible things have happened to me there. I've met some completely repulsive people, and I doubt this islands inhabitants are any different.'

"Well, doesn't mean you can't at least give this place a chance." A beat. She extended a hoof, probably meant to be a sort of handshake. "Name's Rainbow Dash."

Jim turned as Scarlett screamed for the guards, pointing at Karzahni. With Karzahni looking just like a robot*

and arriving seperate from the group, Jim could see trouble starting from this... But then again, Karzahni was only questionably on the group's side anyway. And this would provide a fairly convenient way to get rid of Karzahni.

Jim decided to respond to Alice while thinking on what to do about it. "I have no doubt you're right about these people being scumbags. But they're scumbags who have apparently been around this area a while, and so would know what's in store for us. We figure out what we need to, then go" Jim said, sparing only a passing glance at Alice before turning back towards where Karzahni was.

He decided... He'd see how Karzahni reacted to this. But Jim started heading that way anyway, as a slight precaution.

Rogue looked around the area, and crossed her arms. She had no particular nostalgia for this place as even in her own days as a criminal, she always performed... higher class crimes than the riffraff here. It was espionage mostly, as befitting a shapeshifter and mind-reader duo. She would get knowledge from a guard and Mystique would disguise herself as said guard. Mere robbery would've been too easy for Mystique and her.

"Maybe we oughta have gone around," Rogue muttered to herself.

Alice tentatively shook Rainbow Dashs' hoof. 'My name's Alice. But what good qualities could this place possibly have? Wait.. no he's(Jim) right. This place may be a valubale source of information.'

Karzahni simply kept on walking into the town, ignoring the shouts for him to stop.

"Lots of things! Food, booze

, fights. Eh, maybe it's just not your kind of thing." She turned to face the rest of the group. "Listen, I'm gonna' head off with Oswald for a while. Catch you guys later." With that, the pegasus zipped off in an attempt to catch up with the Toon.

"I didn't realize Turians made for such good floatation devices." the girl grinned, glancing over at the ravenous-looking Dreamlander. After a moment's confusion, she put two and two together, then pointed up toward one of the nearby trees. "There's tons more up there. I was trying to ration them, but if we're getting of this stupid beach, it's not a big deal. Go nuts, little guy."

Gene's conditions were met with a short nod, followed by the resumption of her leaning against the tree she'd directed Kirby toward. "No problem. I can't exactly run off without you guys, after all." the girl chuckled, jamming her hands into the pockets of her worn brown cargo pants. While clearly dressed for a cooler climate than the temperate beach they were currently inhabiting, the blue-haired girl didn't appear to be bothered by the heat at all, even with the fire still crackling nearby. "Hrm...I should probably put that out, huh?" the blue-haired girl mused, trudging over to the campfire and kicking some sand into the embers.
