The art is good, but it hasn't been that funny so far.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. All the food names gives it sort of a Super Mario World feel.
They assed first. I am only retaliating in an ass way. -The Dead Man's LifeIt definitely hasn't had any laugh-out loud moments yet. But I like the "consistent funny tone" style of humor it has.
Behold, art. http://insanelyzanter.deviantart.com/The premise is too... uh, cotton candy for my taste. I better get some real Only Sane Manity here later on. No real lulz for now, too. Also, the flow is uneasy; Cucumber starts a "but..." in the end of one strip and then you have to wait for the next one to see what he wanted to say. I'd prefer it if she just worked on longer strips, because that would make better sense.
The art is good though, and it's fun to see the occasional derpity Hiimdaisy expression getting filtered through it.

It definitely gets a lot funnier
I'm definitely loving the SCREW YOU CUCUMBER YOU'RE DOING IT attitude everyone has.
Also, Peachi really snarks up the author's blurps with each comic.
Stargate SG-1 Let's Watch. Because my ZHP thing failed. If she wanted to do a straight up Legend of Zelda comic she should have just done one.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I love it so far. : ) Adorable art and it's been consistently funny. The hiimdaisy snark comes through too~
Something about the art makes me think of Little Golden Books and Tiny Kitten Teeth. Only with cleaner art and a much more coherent story than the latter.
Well, the artwork in this one is pretty good and I like the constant snarky tone. Pretty consistent for a buildup, I'm definitely going to keep this on my watch list.
I wonder if the Prologue title page is meant to be foreshadowing or misleading.
I like it. It's enjoyable and... quite easy to look at style wise (Nice calming colours). Also, Evil Is Sexy for the main villain.
I think more people would read it if they knew Hiimdaisy was behind the webcomic, as I don't know anyone who didn't love her short parodies.
It's early days, but it could be a webcomic winner.
Inspirational quote against powerful image of nature. That was pretty good. On page 11 I was all "Oh hell yes PLEASE send the little sister, I don't wanna be bored."
Anyway it's cool so far, but I hope that once we make it through the introductory stages we get out of the genre lampshading and into the genial.

I think if anyone can do a webcomic which is pure lampshade (As good as Adventurers, if not better) then it would be Hiimdaisy. I laughed at everything she made.
"BULLET WOUND, SAMURAI DOGS, OBJECTUUUUUUNNNN"
Inspirational quote against powerful image of nature.Adventurers! Would be good if the illustrations weren't complete and utter textbook doodle crap. Sad but true.

i. hear. a. sound.mrsaturn, I kindly disagree. I think the art is lovely. Sure, it's not on the level of The Meek or Lackadaisy, but then, nothing else is. I think that the style clearly shows that the artist knows what he (?) is doing, just chooses to manifest in a cute and colorful format, that, yes, has a strong resemblance to Wind Waker. Cute and colorful and well-coordinated — reminds me of the smart, silly, but self-aware comics that used to run in Disney Adventures magazine. Plus, the Dream Oracle and Dad are hilarious.
Oh yes, I agree! Gigi's (a she, btw) style is like a love child of Mary Blair and Lou Romano, so nostalgic and adorable. That and the warm colors really bring out the overall laidback, "let's just make fun of everything" feel of this comic IMO.
also i don't think overexaggerated facial expressions and out of place dramatic lighting will be this funny with another style. just sayin'
I never said that about Cucumber Quest, I said it about Adventurers!. Of course, I may be thinking about some other fourth-wall-breaking RPG parody webcomic. Adventurers! is the one with the villain named Khrima and the warrior with tall green Anime Hair, right?
Also, haha Cucumber is "Special".
They assed first. I am only retaliating in an ass way. -The Dead Man's LifeWwwwwelp. Sorry, man. Had never actually been much interested in Adventurers! so just checked it out now. I see your point; funny stuff though.
Oh... I don't know Adventurers. I thought you were talking about this comic, as Cucumber (and, now, his sister) are adventurers. I apologize!
Wow! No threads about this yet? For shame.
FOR SHAME.
Well, Gigi Fritter, formerly Peachi Fritter, also known as the creator of the fantastic Hiimdaisy comic, has started a new webcomic.
Cucumber quest.

So far, it is quite awesome. Great humor, fantastic art, and the quirky plot shows promise.
