Soul Calibur series is really the only thing to make sense, really. Soul Edge was already the odd one out of the series.

Demon's Souls is not actually part of the the series. It's a precursor. Properly, it's the Dark Souls series, with that style being referred to as "Souls gameplay" for stuff like Bloodborne.

Let's just call it the Soul Train series.

I wouldn't mind one of the new chars if it wasn't for the fact that none of the originals weren't in the first game either. Don't have anything against the new guys mind you(except for the idiot protag), but it comes across as negligent to the series roots.

Based on the Popularity Poll from a while back, I'd say Talim and Taki have a pretty good shot at making it in as they were voted the two most popular characters in the series.

So I'm guessing Natsu will be eaten by a random beaver or something.

Hopefully, they'll reveal it at E3 and release it a few months after. I have a hard time imagining that they haven't been working on the game for a while now. The official facebook kept teasing stuff in 2014. They made and shut down a blatant cash-grab F 2 P game. It's been a record long wait between mainline series announcements.

Harada's umm could be a tease. Or it could be "umm, I'm not the one to talk to about that." There was word from Harada back in January that Hoshino (the director of the soul series since 2013) is no longer allowed to say/tease anything on social media as per a rule from his boss, but again, that could mean several things.

Still, I'm hopeful. SCV did about as well as Tekken Tag 2 if I understand correctly. Granted, Tekken 7 has the arcade business model bringing them fat stacks to offset any potentially disappointing console sales, but perhaps something similar could be said of Lost Swords.

This. If we're lucky (ha), maybe they've been going through the entire existing roster with fine-tooth combs, adjusting everyone so characters with similar weapon types play fairly differently from each other, like what they did with Siegfried and Nightmare.
