@Trope Eater: I'm not sure that's the best attitude to take, given that the fundamental cause of the misuse in the first place is people thinking GCPTR is a good thing.
@ Terrie: I support that idea. Anyone else?
Does anyone else have any feedback on the possible new explanation, or shall I go ahead and change it with the addition of the single suggested clarification?
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.Okay, the description has been changed. Now to start on moving all the incorrect examples.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.Been a long time since I last touched on this (and anyone else has), how's things going or is there a standstill?
Dead. I don't think this thread will go anywhere, especially not with this crowner. Frankly, closing this and trying again in TRS seems a better option.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThis thread existed? Wow. Honestly, this was one of the tropes I thought had the biggest problem.
@182: Agreed, I probably won't be the one to try another swipe at it as it truly is a huge headache but someone will come and try again, there's enough sentiment regarding the quality of examples this trope brings out.
I question the usefulness of such a page.
Which page?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanGetting Crap Past the Radar. I do not now what significance a teehee joke past the censors weighs in on storytelling is at all. At best it's Trivia, if it is not YMMV.
A trope can be a convention. And in this case it can be a way to get naughty stuff in a work. Or just the fact that there is unexpected naughty content.
That said, I am fine with shutting this down and trying out a proper TRS.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI would prefer a proper Trope Repair Shop thread, but I do not know how many times this is brought up.
Maybe the subpages could be locked and discussion run through a Perpetual Projects thread, like Complete Monster.

The Complete Monster cleanup thread hasn't really worked that well, although anything would probably be better than the way this trope stands.
I believe that such an operation ought to be discussed in TRS first. Right now, we have no idea if there is something better out there.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanA TRS thread would be the way to go, at least work out what we should do if we're doing anything. Close this one up, see if someone else won't pick up this issue at just the right moment when there's 99 TRS threads.
Locking per request.
Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
Double Entendre on this wiki is only used for the sexual double entendres; other forms would go under Double Meaning (the supertrope).
