Needs A Better Title: Once Noodled A Man To Death

Seriously, the standard form of this trope is, as I've illustrated in the new trope description, "once killed a man with an X". (Or, as Riddick put it, "I'll kill you with my teacup.") The implement is never turned into a verb, and to be honest, it doesn't describe the trope very well at all.

Like I said in the YKTTW: if we're going to use "noodle" as a placeholder, it should be Once Killed A Man With A Noodle.

Wasn't this still on YKTTW yesterday? I thought it was Once Killed a Man with a Noodle Implement.

Heh, and here I was thinking it referred to noodling. Which would certainly be an odd way to kill someone.

The description even refers to what the title should have been. I have no idea why it's not Once Killed A Man With A Noodle.

I still like Noodle Murder Implement.

Of course it does. I rewrote it myself a couple of hours ago. What we had up there was a crappy "laconic" description until I got to it.

I recall this as, and like better, Once Killed a Man with a Noodle Implement.

I saw a trope "Once Killed a Man With a Trope" on YKTTW. I said we no longer use trope as a place holder, and using X is more common.

I say we should probably call it something like Improbable Weapon Boast, since it's clearly related to Improbable Weapon User.

Also "Once Killed A Man With A Noodle Implement" sounds about one word too unwieldy.

Once Killed A Man With A Noodle gets my vote.

I set up a single proposition rename crowner here.

Personally, I think a rename is in order because the trope name makes it sound like it is referring to a specific type of death-dealing blow when the trope itself is supposed to be broad.

No, it's a Sub-Trope of that, and probably part Stock Phrase.

It looks like rename won. Let's look for some better title options.

There is now a alternative titles crowner for this trope here. Feel free to edit and add options as you see fit.

Bump. This looks like it has a pretty clear result; it just needs to be called and implemented.

Other than a page move, does this need anything? Is the description OK?

EDIT: I mean in addition to the full page-moving process. (getting on that now)

The whole process of moving it needs to be done.

I meant besides that.

I've moved it. There wasn't much: no discussion or wicks that I could see. Content moved, notifications posted, YKTTW linked on new discussion page. Unless I missed something, it's ready to redirect.

Can somebody please check to see if I did the page moving right? If it's ready to make a redirect?

The move is done, but rather than going for the least effort path let's wire it into the wiki properly before we shut up shop. It's got no wicks and isn't even on an index. I say cross wick the examples and put it on at least one index, then we're done.

OK, it's got 3 indexes and 25 wicks. I see the redirect was done, thank you. Lock?
